Is it possible for a priest to RTO a city extremely far from that priest capital and immediatelly form a new realm there? I mean... if that can be mecanically possible since it would need several nobles aiding there plus some other regions to feed that city or traders, etc.
Thanks in advance.
RTO does not require an adjacent region. So technically you could RTO a region on the opposite side of thee map. However, only a duke can secede. And only the ruler can create a new duchy. So your ruler would have to make the priest a duke. Then you could secede. So you can't do it without your ruler's help.
I am not sure if there is a time limit between being appointed and being able to secede.

Thanks Indi,
The ruler does not need to be in the city to appoint that priest right?
Correct.

Isn't it fourteen days?
There used to be a 14 day wait for various things to prevent things like stab-buy-secede, or stab-buy-destroy. (Alternatively without the stab in some cases.) I am not sure if the waiting period got ported to the new hierarchy.
There was some sort of 21-day wait, but I get the option to secede as Duke of Irombro immediately and can select the name of the Realm etc. It might deny it when I actually click it, but I'm not going to try that.
For science, Telrunya, for science. And you know you want to. :P
Irombrozia will be reborn! For Science! :P
Heh, you'd even have a Bedwyr around again, to either help crush or liberate, depending on how he's convinced.

I will bring a character back faster than you can say "Resurrected Monarchy" if this ever happens.

I seceded to form Xerolco the turn I did the RTO. I think things changed (more than once) since though.

Abuses like that are exactly why things have been changed.

How is that abuse?
You're not supposed to be able to secede that fast. It's ridiculous to be able to auto da fe, claim lordship, and secede immediately. Certain related things (stab>buy>secede) caused major issues in the past. A key to controling that is to allow judges and realms time to react and deal with things. Hence the waiting period.

Wouldn't have mattered in this case. I RTOd it from Netherworld after all of the GMs had gone. Or from rogue. Something like that, before the new restrictions on what regions can be RTOed was implemented.
