Though I currently reside in Germany, my birthplace and state side home is Washington. Looking forward to seeing more of the country (America) though.

It is a shame, though, how far we've shifted from some of the original laws of William Penn himself!
Michigan. The only blue state with its own militia. I know of at least five other Michiganders in the game and on the forums, too.

Those on forum, refer to here, those not refer the to forum and soon after here. At least I suggest that.
Born and partially raised in Connecticut. I've spent probably half my life here in North Carolina though. Unless something surprising happens, it's here I'll probably stay for a while too.
Southern California!
I like to tell out-of-staters that I live 15 minutes inland of Malibu :) (which is totally true, by the way!)
I guess BM doesn't attract people from the deep south?

In my (admittedly, very limited and northern) experience, social conservatives, as a group, have a greater tendency to dislike sci-fi, fantasy, and geekdom in general. And it's hardly succumbing to stereotypes to note that the deep south tends to be much more socially conservative than the rest of the nation...

Don't know that we do. Just none who have posted in this thread so far—and given that less than 2 dozen total people have posted here, this thread can't be seen as an even remotely representative sample—yet. :)

I'm just picking up on this thread (ventured into here while bored)... I had to laugh, though, because I was raised in Texas. Most of my family is in Texas as well.
Me, though, I'm in NJ now, but am technically "from" Albany, NY, even though I can't remember it.
Born in Texas and live in NJ? Ewww. Picture it if you will: tanned to a leathery consistency wearing a bad pink polo with the collar popped, super tight blue jeans, a chintzy gold necklace, shutter shades, snake skin boots and an overly large stetson.

So everything I said before with the addition of a whiskey bottle, a perpetually nagging and pregnant wife who.is balancing a pair of babies already, and a strange fixiation for fudge. Got it. ;)
