They can't IIRC. Only way to switch Continents is by being deported.

I don't think Advies can be deported anymore.

Adventurers cannot emigrate between different continents. However, on continents with the new sea travel, adventurers can board ships, and move between the different islands of Dwilight for example. The price is the same for them as for unitless nobles though, which can be prohibitive.
