"Follow the public protests and impeach Kas Mayhem, Chief Magistrate of Terran, Royal of Terran."
http://www.battlemaster.org/testing/Impeach.php?Pos=Ruler
"Due to protests against the Chief Magistrate, you as the Magistrate of Justice can call for a vote of no confidence.
This vote will go out to all lords of the realm. A qualified majority will be required to remove Kas Mayhem, Chief Magistrate of Terran, Royal of Terran from the position.
Your reason for calling for impeachment will be posted to the realm and become part of the referendum:"
"There is already a vote of no confidence in the Chief Magistrate pending."

WHAT IS THIS?
Why have I never heard of it?
Why doesn't it work? It says there is already a vote of no confidence pending.
-
It doesn't work because of a URL error. Please report the error (the URL is saying /testing/ when it should be /stable/).
You can work around this by changing /testing/ in the URL to /stable/.
You may not have heard of it because of how rare successful protests are.

Surprise!
And, uhmmm... bug...
-
Question:
Does this mean we can't protest him out normally?
-
It's a bizarre feature... what is its purpose? I've seen it before, but since protests can kick the ruler out, why duplicate it with a simultaneous parallel feature?
-
It provides more flavor and uniqueness for different government styles. It gives the judge an option to call for a vote of no confidence, even if there are not enough protests to protest him out.
-
This is awesome.

This is awesome.
That it is. Is it available for all government systems?
-
I believe it is for republics, not sure about democracies. Get someone to start a protest campaign, and find out. ;)

So protests are required?

Didn't this happen in Springdale, a monarchy? Or was I thinking of another early-Dwi realm?
-
So protests are required?
Ask the judge. I've probably said too much already...
-
So protests are required?
From what I gather, yes.
-
It happened in Pian en Luries, a monarchy, against Brom, IIRC.

You don't.

It happened in PeL against the first king. Well, the judge got the option at least. How do I know? I was the judge.

lol.
And now the royal status bites Terran too.
We can't ban Kas. :P
We're just going to fine him forever.

Why ban him?

Why ban him?
Treason? Insulting the whole realm? Being as fickle as Glaumring? Because he dared speak against the Dread High Council of Shadow-Terran?

As fickle as... GLAUMRING?
Surely this can be made into a measure unit. "This guy... he's totally a 0,73 glaumrings on my fickle-o-meter!" ;)
I think Jonsu's a better standard, though. 8)

Lol, and we've had like, what 2 or 3 successful ones in Terran now?

A Jonsu is a unit of vileness. "Wow, that insult was almost a whole Jonsu!"
