I tried to log on this morning and it's as if my account deleted itself or something. I remember logging on yesterday afternoon and everything was fine, but now i've lost everything. I have no idea how this happened. :'(
Is there any possible way to retrieve my account? If it's gone, i'm done with this game.
Is this your war islands account or your battlemaster account? This is the War Islands forum (see the top where it says BM:WI)?

As someone who played with him frequently until his account was deleted, I can say that it was his main BM account. I think he's confused. And this should thus be moved to one of the upper boards.

I don't see your character either. :(
It is the weekend, so responses a bit slower than usual. What do you think happened? Deleting an account is not something that is done accidentally. And admins never just delete an account. They lock it first and wait for it to auto-delete after a certain time period. Could it be that someone got onto your account on your computer and deleted it?
As far as account recovery, I'll let Tom or Tim answer that one.
Well, according to the records I can see, your account was deleted by the normal means (ie, the game thinks you logged in and deleted your own account) approximately 2 days and 15 hours ago.
We do have backups, and it may be possible to recover your account. However, it's not something we have any automated tools for, and I can't promise to be able to get everything right the first time.

"Are you
sure you had that 3,000,000 gold when the account was deleted?"
"Of course I did! What, doesn't everyone?"
We were pretty surprised when you deleted. Everyone in realm got the message that you deleted your own account.

Unfortunately, you're unemployed now.

You mean

(I moved and merged them)
Ah, I saw the moving, but missed the merging. Carry on, unappreciated moderator! (thanks)
Well, i certainly do not remember deleting my own account. I would like to request it's restoration, if possible.

Yes, please.
We would like to have you back. There were comments of regret for losing such an active and contributing player all around the realm when you left.
Thanks, Perth. I'm really sorry this had to happen at such a crucial time.
I really really hope i can restore my account!
Maybe an angry girlfriend? I already had one that would love to delete my acc.
Haha a similar situation. It turns out my roommate deleted my account as a "joke". It's too bad, really.
Not a very good joke...
We need you back!

Pay my expenses and I'll off him.
So...was the account ever restored or at least attempted? It would really suck for this to have just wandered off into no resolution and have lost a player in the process, a rather involved one too.
Always use administrator control and lengthy passwords in your pc, if possible hide your keyboard and mouse in a secure place. It works against crazy sisters so I can assume it will also do good against angry girlfriends and roommates :P
I did investigate this, but unfortunately, there is no easy way to restore characters. There has never been a script created to handle the whole thing together, and there are so many different pieces that would need to be somehow pulled from a DB backup and inserted into the live DB that I am afraid this is really just not practical.
I'm very sorry.
