Days like today, not even Tom can convince me BM is a "lightweight" game. In the last 24 hours-ish I have:
-Been banned for treason for being a religious leader who doesn't take kindly to threats from secular rulers. Then took my region and defected to an enemy state in the middle of a TO of an allied city.
-Lead the allied forces in a game of cat and mouse that has resulted in sacking aforementioned city.
-tried my hand at wizardry
-staged a coup from behind the scenes
-been put on trial for heresy
You should post all that to the news for the various islands.
I don't trust a Himoura any farther than I can throw Justin Licht (seeing as how you're in Canada or someplace and I'm in Texas), but you certainly keep things interesting.
Us texans know better.

Most of your character's actions on Dwilight(mastery of will) I know of, but the rebellion was somewhat surprising, but not completely unexpected, as the general was acting suspiciously. It seem like my character's stay will be short.

Why will your characters stay be short?

At the time, I was the only one supporting Merlin, and it looked like rebels were everywhere. Now it seems we have the situation under control, as many nobles have joined the loyalist side.

It depends on how you play it, and always has. It was always my intention that it is light if you choose to play it like that, but if you prefer getting into the thick everywhere, leading rebellions, running religions, ruling realms, then you can put in as much time as you want (or have).
Stabitty also just got critically wounded by an infiltrator. Haha :P

Fought and won more like. ;)
Stabbed in the middle of writing a letter... Damn Arcaeans.
And here I thought my character Gary can know Thain better, the first Himoura my family ever know :(
I love Battlemaster because its an opportunity to roleplay different types of characters. As a writer I really value being able to put myself in to a protagonist, so to speak, and it's even better when I don't also have to create the situations and environment and other characters so I can just focus on getting a feel for what this one individual would do or want.
And yeah, it's not a lightweight game for me the way I play now and other times, but sometimes it is because I just don't have the time, and both ways work. That's a really cool aspect of the game.

Full Metal Jacket might as well be required watching material when you're in the military.
