Ok, it is clear that use of multiple Scouts Guilds, Cartbuilders, Houses of Healing, Banner Manufactures, Workshops and Demolition Workshops is to make production of paraphernalia faster. It is also clear that multiple Granaries are making more space for storing food.
But there is also option to build more then one of any other type of building.
Is there any use of more then one Academy? If yes, what?
Is there any use of more then one Weapon/Armour Smith? If yes, what?
Is there any use of more then one Marketplace? If yes, what?
Is there any use of more then one Tournament Ground? If yes, what?
Is there any use of more then one Harbor? If yes, what?
Is there any use of more then one Shipyard? If yes, what?

Is there any use of more then one Weapon/Armour Smith? If yes, what? - They can repair more. They often run out of materials so it is not a bad idea to have two.
Is there any use of more then one Marketplace? If yes, what? - Pointless
Is there any use of more then one Tournament Ground? If yes, what? - Not sure. Do you need 2 tournament grounds to hold both swordfighting and joust tournaments?
Is there any use of more then one Harbor? If yes, what? - No
Is there any use of more then one Shipyard? If yes, what? - No
For any non production building, having multiples makes it more likely that the building will be open. Ie, less likely to close on any particular day.
Is building of additional Marketplace increasing trading distance?
No
