Title: Mark messages about actions as "read"
Post by: Noone you know on January 24, 2016, 10:33:33 AM
I don't know how the messaging system is set up, but it would be nice if, for example, when I do some takeover work and the message goes out to the region, it was marked as "read" for me so I don't see "new messages" signaled afterwards.

That would be awesome. I seem to remember there being some technical issue with that, but maybe someone can find a fix.

We've been making some behind-scenes changes to how messaging works recently. This should be doable as those changes advance.

I absolutely hate that it sends you the message as well. Yes, yes i do bloody well know that I just did that action.

It is possible. Assembling a list of instances would be helpful.

Off the top of my head/already-mentioned: Marketplace food trades, lord tax changes, scout reports, takeover actions

EDIT: Or my quick code-reading first glance was not what I thought it was. Either way, create a bug report with a list of instances and it can be still be investigated. There are some current message improvements occurring as-is.

I think, as the last reply (in EDIT) of Vita mentioned, it would be best to create a bug report on bugtracker with all the instances where such a message to your own character regarding own actions is sent.
