Title: OOC: Prelude - Rise of the Merchant Princes
Post by: Siren on August 17, 2011, 03:56:36 AM
I need a couple of clarifications.

When you use magic in a RP, you must to stop the RP once the spell is cast?

Also, does two skills at basic and three spells equate to being able to cast two types of spells and three spells in total? Does this example make sense: Basic Skills of Fire and Water, able to start a camp fire, stop a river and walk on water?

But if we wish to harm someone with our actions, we must have the skill of harm to go along with fire or water?

I suppose I should've said 2 bases and 2 or 3 effect skills or some such (I was thinking solely of the effects, feel free to use as many bases as you want.  Apologies, I'm not quite as familiar with the system myself).

So 2 effects, like harm, shield, coerce etc.

But yes, if it is not your NPC you need to stop and wait.  You always have to stop if there is a Player around though.  They need a chance to respond and do something or nothing.

Question here. How much spell power do we have to play with?

Assume you get 5 per day of energy and your concentration was 20 unless you've spent it.  You have effect skills at 15 for the base and 10 for the intent for whatever you're limiting yourself to.

Lets say you start with 10 energy, but we're on day two so 20.  If you're doing too much a spell might just flat out fail ;-)
