Just found this board. Really surprised Assassin's Creed wasn't on it already. One of my all time favourite game/series. Can't wait for Revelations for mac. It's going to be epic ;D

Most, if not all games mentioned have multiplayer. Yea, so does Assassin's Creed, but it sucks.
SP is pretty fun, though.
-
I only played ACII and Brotherhood, and they're both brilliant games :) played each of them through in 10 days or less, on a friend's xbox :D
Also, graphics are superb on Xbox, it was disappointing to see it on PS3 afterwards. Idk about Mac/PC

I never bothered with the multiplayer myself. Ubi should stick top what they do best.

Graphics are awesome on the mac as well, at least at maxed out settings. Just finished replaying brotherhood yesterday at 84% sync 8)

Meh, I don't like the sync think. It was cool as long as it worked out, but I never restarted a mission just to get full sync, unless it was really important.

Some missions were fun to redo, but a good number of them had the hard part only happen at the very end. For example, I had real trouble with the mission where you use Leonardo's tank and must not receive a single hit for full sync. However, even if you die after getting hit and redo that part, it's too late. You have to redo the whole thing ago, and you only get the tank in the last stage of that mission. I tried two or three times, then got tired of it. Same for most others. The ones that say "kill X with Y weapon" are easy, but the ones with stuff like "don't get seen" or "don't get hit" are a royal pain in the ass.

Yeah, that's true. Also, I disliked those that required completion within a certain time span (usually 8 minutes).
But other than that: splendid game :) I can remember when I discovered you could throw heavy weapons, too awesome :D (I never read manuals)

Wait, what? You can throw heavy weapons?
What I dislike of heavy weapons is the inability to use them on horse-back. I had a ton of fun using that warhammer on horseback to own guards, though.

Those two lairs of Romulus are impossible to complete in 8 minutes.. Took me close to 15. But Wolf in Sheep's Clothing was good. Nothing like throwing a cardinal over a balcony, only to catch him by his necklace and let him drop again.

I think I did those on the first try. They are mostly pretty linear (path to take is always obvious), or I was damn lucky.
Dagger of Romulus is awesome. It's better than the heavy weapons!

Wait, what? You can throw heavy weapons?
I'm not sure if it's possible with all of them, but I'm positive about that huge broadsword.

Looks like it works with axes too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SgrL0lW1So&feature=related
It's quite cool (and deadly :P), though sometimes you lose your weapon doing it :)

Losing a weapon isn't an issue when infinite gold is so easy (just hide in a haystack and AFK your game while you go to sleep a few times an buying all the buildings in town will be a piece of cake).
How do you throw it on PC?
-
No clue, sorry :) On the XBOX you had to keep X pressed, for a while. The attack button, I believe :)

Doesn't holding the attack button use the pistol?
-
Perhaps when you're wielding your hidden blades. Have you tried with a heavy weapon out?

With a normal sword it uses the pistol I believe. With a heavy? I don't think I tried, as I never bothered with them. Dagger of Romulus beats all. :P

Well, yes, you can only throw heavy weapons like the Bearded Axe. Not regular swords, nub :P
And it's not about effectiveness. It's just really cool to plant a two-handed sword in someones back from a few yards away :D
My favorite weapons are the spears and halbers, though. Most brutal kills ;D

I do like the spears and halberd, but you must pick them up from dead foes, right? I don't recall seeing them in the shops.
-
Yeah. And you cannot keep them with you, either. The moment you scale a wall, you drop them. Maybe their exclusivity is also what makes them cool ;)

Perhaps indeed.
I've killed my share of foes with them, hardly any with the heavy weapons I can buy, though.

All the heavy weapons have unique and brutal finishing moves :)

Yes! Let em dangle down 8)
But I stuck to Ezio's sword after unlocking it.

Only a couple of days until the next one is out now! Very much looking forward to it.
Someone commented earlier that the multiplayer wasn't great (on Brotherhood). the only problem I had with it was that not enough people seemed to play so it would take ages to get a game. As for the play itself, because it is so different to any other game out there I really liked it and the games I did play were fantastic fun.
Hopefully the mutliplayer in the next one will be similar and more people will choose to play it! (though I won't be touching that until single player is completed)

It felt like playing Super Mario Strikers 2 on multiplayer on wii. I just always got raped before being able to do anything, and therefore adapt and learn. I got some kills, but was constantly dying. Mind you, almost everyone was constantly dying, and I'm not a fan of such fast-paced kill-die-instant respawn games. I would have, by far, preffered coop missions or competitive objective based missions (like: get to the king to assassinate him first), without any respawns or a very limited number of them.
-
There were a few different gameplay options which included a team work type one - I know that's not what you meant by co-op though, maybe something in the new one?
As for fast paced kill/die/respawn... That's not how I found most of my games. There was the stealth of hiding from the pursuer(s) whilst at the same time sneaking up on your target.
Just running and killing people doesn't win that game. Think I got 8 kills in one game and had many many more points that someone that had got over 20.

It would be cool to do some kind of SP missions, only with multiple people. MPvsNPC :)
