Title: Burning down temples
Post by: Velax on April 27, 2012, 05:44:02 PM
What is actually required to be able to destroy temples? Do you need to be a member of a religion that sees theirs as evil and be at war with the realm the temple is in?

I believe that's the case, yes.

You can't burn down temples in your own realm's regions no matter what your beliefs.

Its a looting action, so wherever you can loot, you can burn temples.

And yes, you do have to be a member of a religion that considers the temple's religion to be evil.

However, the Lord of the region can close the temple.

The only thing more deadly than a temple guard is a tax ninja.

Its a looting action, so wherever you can loot, you can burn temples.

So that's anywhere except your own realm's territory? The option to loot in allied lands appears for me.

Riombara managed to burn down Shrines in Enweil while being at Peace with them, I believe.

I think Fheuv'n managed the same with Rio, though it might have been at neutral relations by then.
