When it looked like this war was going to start, I was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, my character is now a priest, so I will miss out on it. :(

so this is the thread for the Kabrinskia vs Asylon war is.

Well Asylon can end it fast by giving up everything Via and everything north of the city ;)
-
Meh, that would be boring. The whole point of the war is to fight.

Its also the most likely turn out. In BM Boring is like entropy, the universe tends towards it increasing over time. But, a large amount of 'work' can make it interesting again.

We r Astrocracies. Giv us all ur landz. :P

4 kingdoms against 1... Big talk!
;). More like 2v1 really. Too far for Iashlur to do anything and Corsanctum will probably just defend Kabrinskia.

And Terran is still going to be helping Asylon defensively.

In the same "defensive" manner that Asylon helped Terran? ;)

Yet, none of you had been threatened by Kabrinskia about using the Zuma against Your own kingdoms.
While this is strictly true, the northern realms have, actually, been on the receiving end of a Zuma expedition. Someone (most likely someone in the Veinsormoot) leaked internal SA messages to the Zuma, who came screaming up to "investigate" Iashalur. Son in a sense, we *were* on the receiving end of a human realm trying to use the Zuma as a weapon.
Some fast talking managed to salvage the situation, and actually turn it into a positive. But still, we rallied our armies to do battle with the Zuma. As unprepared as we were, we had no intention of backing down from the fight.
(And, also, we are aware of certain persons who are still attempting to get the Zuma to attack the collection of SA theocracies. And no, I will not supply details. :-X)

Back when they were actually just defending Terran, yes.
-
And Terran is still going to be helping Asylon defensively.
At least, theoretically.
If that actually manifests itself into me being able to get the army to move three regions, like, ... together... at once... in a cohesive unit... I will be ecstatic.

Oh add Morek to the list... Not a crusade my ass...
How? When? Why? Don't you have enough on your plate without inventing new enemies? ;D

What's the difference between SA and the Saxons again?
Oh, there are more nobles in SA, that makes it all right.

You might want to watch it. The Saxons are a convicted OOC clan, known for explicitly circumventing game mechanics and exploiting loopholes in the code.
SA is a purely IC organization, that anyone who wants to can join. The fact that you dislike it does not make it an exclusive, OOC-based organization.
This post treads perilously close to accusing SA of violations of the Social Contract.

if you are referring to the fact busto is around kabrinskia now, you should check your reports more carefully. we're not even their allies..

Terran's Tactically Terrible Army?
We should just give all our gold to Kale. He is the only one that actually follows orders. :P

There is/ was a noble of Morek in Mech Alb. I don't know what to think anymore. Asides from hurry up Zuma...
Asylon made a deal with the devils?

Asylon made a deal with the devils?
After condemning Kabrinskia for doing just that? Interesting.
-
The result of the condemnation was "meh, it's cool, Daimons are totes awesome" so I would guess Asylon figured that if Allison can do it why can't they?
-
Asylon made a deal with the devils?
They could have read it that way
After condemning Kabrinskia for doing just that? Interesting.
Glaumring had already said that there was no deal with the Zuma so looks like just trying to annoy Glaumring.

Once more Glaumring already said that he didn't make a deal with the Zuma so it looks like he is just trying to annoy Glaumring.

Asylon isnt gonna be destroyed. they will only lose the top 1/3 of their realm. Deals were made to limit it to that.

That's not nearly as fun as taking Itau/Via! Force Asylon to consolidate around Echiur/Koshtlom. I think Echiur can support 5 knights or so at tip-top shape.
-
Poor Kabrinska. They were pumeled just now. So much wounding in one battle, and all Kabrinska nobles.
-
And two Asylonian nobles captured. Don't forget those.
How did the battle go?

From where I'm sitting, Kabrinskia seems to be very much unable to win battles by themselves. Surprising.

It was just a little while ago that we stomped Terran in a battle and then we marched on Asylon without refitting and won that battle too...

You beat some stragglers thats about it.
They beat an army that's got 50% or more equipment damage in one battle, and suddenly think they're the top of the world. *shakes his head* How droll.
-
Hey, where is Katayanna now to demand that Astrum leaves the fight, so Kabrinskia and Asylon can do have an honorable war, one-on-one? ::)

Droll? A bunch of under equipped poorer nobles just whipped your golden butts. And we will do it again and again. You couldnt beat us in a 1vs1 you wont be able to in a 4vs1. And i'm going to prove it.
Don't see why you're trying to prove it here...
-
I think we can blame this one squarely on Paul's youthful overconfidence. *Likes attention too!*
-
ugh. It isn't as if we are meaning insult. Its just that I don't find Asylons win to be impressive. All Kabrinskia has to do is keep grinding out the Asylonian army. You haven't been able to make any serious inroads against us this whole war. We used to have to guard our border from Terran. Now that we can concentrate on just Asylon we will do even better than we have been so far. Neither side has been able to rack up a significant series of wins.
When it was Asylon/Terran vs Kabrinskia, Asylon essentially fought us to a draw. I see that as an advantage to Kabrinskia who was never able to fully concentrate on Asylon. I am curious to see how the war progresses in the next few weeks. I spent a great deal of time building up the military infrastructure of Kabrinskia so I know we can bounce back time and again from bloody battles.
-
Luckily Kabrinskia has deep pockets. And friends with the deepest pockets around.

I would think not.
-
Oh, I don't think you know just how deep Morek's pockets are...
-
I would think not.
Aside from the fact that both Astrum and Morek each have half again the gold production of D'Hara.
Also a fun fact: Asylon has well over twice the gold production of Kabrinskia, and is currently the third biggest economy on the island. "Under equipped poorer nobles." Ha!

Aside from the fact that both Astrum and Morek each have half again the gold production of D'Hara.
Both of which are spending considerable sums on warfare, which D'Hara is not.

If they are each spending more than half of your GDP on an army then it's time to start getting really scared.
-
I don't think you comprehend the gold reserves Astrum and Morek have available.
-
We have so much gold... enough to spare a poor duke like me to enlarge expansive centers no one uses ;D
Sergio is probably the richest in Astrum after that 13k tax... used to be Melania. He is someone less active so he isn't spending much of his gold.

Man, one win and you really go to town. Where's the doom and gloom from last week?
I think we're confident but not overconfident. Asylon's a big realm with a high noble count and plenty of money. One on one you are more than a match for Kabrinskia, on paper at least. You should be beating them. It's their allies that will turn the tide against Asylon if anything does.

This is my last post might as well lock this thread because its going to turn into the usual shark swarm around Glaumring for 500 pages.

Ok c'mon Geronus was just having fun. It was our second win. We won our first encounter against a fairly large Kabrinskian force.
You guys are such sore losers. Not one nice thing to say ever. It will bite you in the end.
Eh, I was just poking fun at you. You never do anything by halves. It's always full speed ahead and over the top.

It's a new age of isolation for Asylon. Construction on the Great Wall has already begun.

Too bad the game doesn't allow us to build the Great Wall.
