I'm looking for one or two additional global moderators.
These are the people who handle postings that have been "reported to the moderators". They also have moderator rights on all boards. It's not much work because we get maybe one posting per week reported, but it needs to be done regularily and reliably.

If it's indeed not much work, i can handle it, a post or two per week is perfect.
There some periods a year i will not be able to play BM or do any volunteering for it, but i will know that before hand.

Same. And I've done it before (in a game that at the time had ~5000 active players. They're down to about 3500 now though).
I am frequently on the forums, excluding when I'm asleep or in the shower.

I could do it and am here a lot, as my post count probably suggests. I've moderated forums before as well, over at SoF2Match (although I think they've closed down in the years since).

I have promoted Draco and Velax to global moderators. That was a purely subjective choice made mostly due to their previous experience and some gut feeling and nobody who was not picked should feel put down.

You don't have to look for trouble. At the top-left of the screen, under the logo, there is a line saying "there are currently x moderator reports open". Click on that when x > 0. That's all the vigilance you need.

Hmm. Does that only pop up when there are reported things? Because I don't see it otherwise.

You may need to expand the header - top right corner, next to "BattleMaster Forum" there's an arrow icon.
Right now, for me the part below the icon says:
Hello Tom
Show unread posts since last visit.
Show new replies to your posts.
There are currently 4 moderator reports open.

And of course there's Home, Help, Search, Admin, Moderate, Profile, My Messages, Members, and Logout
When I go to Moderate, it says there are no active reports. But when I go to Old Reports there are three posts.

Everything under Old Reports has already been handled. There is nothing open.
I don't know why Tom's is listing 4 reports, unless they are in some board I can't see. (5 reports in the Magistrates Backroom board? ;) )

Yeah, I can get to that through the Moderate button. 0 open reports. I'm guessing it won't show up where you mentioned it unless something is reported.
It's funny, no matter how long people use a forum, they STILL find out stuff about it as time goes on.

Try now - I've changed a few of the permission settings. Maybe that helps.
