message to the rulers of Atamara
Jovyl Filador, Count of Tarkhog has founded a new religion called "The Way of Da Great Goat" and become its first prophet, devoting his life to religion from now on. He has stepped down from all positions.

This has made me very happy :D Redspan was my first ever realm in BM all those many years ago. I think I might have to re-kindle my religious views.

I'm torn. personally. The entire thing was/is stupid, and Redspaniards deserved a merciless death... but. This harkens back to simpler, funnier times in BM. When it was a lot of college students and SCA-types ordering late move turns while drunk and cracking dick jokes. I kind of miss that. Or at least, I miss the underlying spirit.

I couldn t agree more :) They were one of the most ridiculous realms EVER. But they were tons of fun and so arrogant that they could drive you insane.They deserved what they got and i can't hide i enjoyed the spanking we gave them with Darka but their roleplays were the funniest :)

In my experience, the founder of a religion is reappointed as lord pretty much every time. The only exception is where founding a new religion is illegal. (Or in the case of temporary appointments solely to allow the founding of a religion.)

I suppose it was talked prior to the involvement, since priest without local lordship can't make temples.

You automatically get a level 3 in the region when you create the religion. You don't have to get the lordship back for that.

True, but any random shmuck made lord could shut down the temple and destroy your religion before you even get the time to convince another to build one.

There was discussion where it mattered, between lord and duchess. This isn't a republic or democracy, discussions to the realm on matters like this shouldn't be expected.
