Title: recruiting nobles
Post by: SaDiablo on March 22, 2014, 10:49:55 PM
So is there a place on forums where we can post to attract players?

Sure, you can post in BM General; just be aware of the Rules of Conduct (http://forum.battlemaster.org/index.php/topic,5167.0.html) when doing so.

Oh yes... We can recruit players. How do we start?

Come join Colonies where all the best cookies are available  :P

Awesome Colonies players: For those who wish for more people to join Colonies, send me PM if you are interested on providing some help with something that will help attract players to join Colonies. It can be as little or as much work as you choose but it really won't be much work regardless of if you want to help a lot. I do need your help for it though.

I am not stating what I need help with on purpose, if you can't send me a PM saying you are interested, you likely won't be much help but its really little work and I will let you know what once you let me know you are interested. As well, just because you are interested does not mean you are obliged to actually help once I tell you what I need help with.

P.S. You must be actually playing in Colonies to help.

The Colonies ... punishment for a failed Assassination.

Do not worry. We have one realm, specifically for that. All infiltrators are more than welcome to join Assassins realm, a realm full of well, assassins and infiltrators. Just remember keep a dagger under your pillow, for they like to stab ;D

On second thought, let's not go to the Colonies.

It is a silly place.

I think the best advert for the colonies is that if you join Outer Tilog there's a game mechanic which lets you torture your men to raise their morale.

As someone who has been there, I can truthfully say the dead get better treatment in hell. :3

Yes, in Outer Tilog you can raise your troops morale by spending a few hours whipping a few select soldiers.

Under Orders:
Quote
Torture your men - this is Outer Tilog, they'll like it.

Under that option:
Quote
So your men don't quite "get" the Outer Tilog way? Have them line up and torture them a little. Those who don't get a part of the fun can watch, as a reminder.
This torture session will raise morale through... well, mostly through fear though there may be a few soldiers who actually like seing their friends being tortured.
There is a certain risk that you will wound a few of your men, but hey, the healers want to have fun, too, don't they?
Oh, it also takes two hours of time. After all, you want to enjoy it.

Whip 'em!

From my experience at least a couple men end up injured, but it gives a decent morale boost. IIRC, you can actually go above 100% morale using this option.

... that's pretty awesome. Maybe some day I'll take an unplanned vacation to the colonies. Shame about the one turn per day though.
