Let us applaud them for their daring rescue of the oppressed and tiny realms of the south. Let us salute the brave sacrifices of their soldiers on the walls of Xavax, Isadril and Ibladesh. Let us commend their wise commanders for their effective and cunning strategies.
Some of my favorite things about Perdan:
1. the Beggar King
2. William de Braose, Duke-Imperator
3. all the nobles
4. looting
5. winning
6. looting again
7. bisciye and its highly intelligent peasantry
8. finally having enough food to feed them
9. more looting
10. razing fortifications
11. serving only the most just of desserts
12. taking all the names
13. kicking all the arses
14. them hating us cuz they aint us
please join me in celebrating these excellent realms, vix and perdan players feel free to add your own points to my by-no-means-exhaustive list.

Well, I do like that Perdan plays itself as a more evil realm oppressing others, not the stereotypical white knight. Someone has to play the other role and they at least do that well.

of course i would contend that perdan's role is indeed the most stereotypical of heroic white knight roles (see title), gallivanting around defending the weak against the oppressions of the unjust, but of course a mean bad guy would see it differently. i mean the orcs in lotr probably thought the fellowship of the ring were real douchebags, especially legolas with the perfect hair and perfect shooting while riding a shield like a snowboard, counting the deaths of his enemies without a care in the world.
yep, perdan is ec's legolas of the woodland realm.
but what about its GIMLI? not a word of praise for vix aside from my own?

it has come to my attention that xavax players believe that this is a 100% serious thread, and not a half-sarcastic trolljob i wrote to amuse myself.

I always find the grasp of geography on EC a little disconcerting... the Southern Alliance was led by Perdan which was on the North coast of EC. The war was classed as North versus South when the most Northerly realm, OI was also part of the Southern Alliance.
Really Perdan should be 'Western Warriors' or some such... perhaps the mis-named alliances are part of Perdans psychology of war to throw off their enemies.
Clever stuff...

Normally my characters have a bad streak of joining a realm that begins to get steam rolled and or acted upon by forces of god. It's weird for me having a fresh noble fight in several battles and not be on the losing side.
