Title: Dynamic Start
Post by: Bael on September 16, 2016, 09:57:55 AM
Add a quick-start game type option!

I feel the main complaint that people have is that games don't start quickly enough.

If possible, make a dynamic game start type, where people jump in and start playing immediately on day 1. At the end of day 1, any families not taken are taken by AI. AI families are marked on the map.

How do you all feel about this suggestion?

Would certainly help out at this point in the game where there can be delays waiting for them to get filled and started.

Opening the game being like day 0, and the 24 hour countdown begins once first player signs up.

They would already be playing on day 1. The day counter would be the 24 hour counter.

A small problem is that right now waiting games are on day 0, not on day 1.

I liked the idea and it's not too difficult to add, so it will probably be in Beta 16.

Yep, i'm in 3 of them ;D. I'm curious to see when they will actually start though. Is it wait until full or timed?  :D

The code is wait-until-full, but I sometimes start games manually when I feel they've waited too long.
