Title is self-explanatory. I've noticed that many of us often roleplay with our captains as NPC's, all of whom are uniformly male. I, for one, would like to bring a little diversity to the list.

I doubt they were mostly male chars. You'd be surprised to find out how many chars have male sounding names but actually female chars.

No. Gender isn't stored for captains, just the name.

Honestly that hive mind vibe and cult-like adherence to a single player sealed the deal for me. I don't even have the ambition I used to, but I've seem ruler-centered groups fail too often to want to ever be a part of that again.

True. I am not a big fan of a character centric or realm centric players. They will quit easily. Not really in for the long term.

Hi.... I noticed you all took jabs at me while I wasn't looking. Thats the kind of behavior that makes people quit not remaining loyal to their queen. But hey I get it. you dont like what you cant control. you don't like Character Centric environments that would suck if the character centric environment isn't surrounding you... and FYI I didn't quit. Talk about being an !@#$%^&. How about you actually figure out what's actually going on before you go on about !@#$. You seem to speak without thinking a lot.

I don't think it takes much effort.
Just need to decide which names we'll be using (if any) and how many we will use (to balance things out with male names).

I don't think so. Let's see. These are the numbers you supplied:

| Spanish | 122 |
I think there are currently around 300 male names in the system. So by scanning quickly I'd go for Spanish, Russian and Roman. Because I like them best & fitting with current names. It brings total on 279 female names.
If Delvin agrees, I can give him a list in the desired format he can use to upload.

I've added these (the Roman, Anglo-Saxon, and Spanish ones), and am working on some tweaks to make sure that female captains have properly gendered pronouns.

BattleMaster's setting is very much intended to be Eurocentric.

If that's even actually the original vision, which region names certainly seem to ignore if thats the case, it is a terribly limited one that has already been surpassed by the player base. We have had realms based on cultural themes from all over the world and still do. We have players from all over the world. The more the game can reflect that diversity the better.
