Title: Swordfell
Post by: Zakky on October 11, 2017, 04:51:59 AM
Swordfell is run by one man, Crixus if I recall correctly. He is not known for sharing anything. Not the best character to play with honesty. Typical sit at the top and let no one challenge me kinda character.

See, this makes me want to invade Swordfell and depose him.

The problem with doing that, of course, is that then you'd have to do it to all the other rulers who are just as bad - and on Dwilight that would mean invading about half the realms on the continent.

Do it anyways!

I proposed to you guys a valid plan that would do this, but you said no  ;)

Not gonna tell that here, although those in Westfold and Swordfell both know it (spies...that's so 2002). But Westfold shot it down unfortunately.

You should come to D'Hara. We've got some interesting plotting going on that should stir things up in the neighbourhood, and no spies ruining it all yet either!

I've got some ideas myself as well I'm working on. Better hope then that we don't cross each other. Who knows, maybe we'll cooperate one day  ;D

I'm saying '+1' as a player. My character might not agree with me or has his own interests  ;)

Meh, I don't belive there's any plan that could possibly manage that. Crixus is by far the safest man on the continent. Unlimited income, unlimited militia, huge buffor zone, about a dozen loyal minions. Reducing Swordfell to Flowrestown city-state would be hard af and that city-state would still be 3 times more defensible than First Oligarch.

That's why one does not simply invade Swordfell.

One needs to be sneaky.

Do I look like an amature to you? Had Westfold joined me, I'm quite certain we would've pulled it off, but it aint over yet. Have a little faith my friend.

Honestly, First Oligarch should have fallen within months of its existence. It's more the incompetence of Sirion and my understanding of defending and war that lasted us so long, but I Crixus should expect far worse. Sirion alone would've been sufficient to beat First Oligarch, had they known what they were doing.

Quote
Crixus Domitius
Lord Imperator, Archmarshal, Overseer of Swordfell
Royal of Swordfell
Duke of Aquil
Margrave of Flowrestown
Marshal of the Storm Legion
Justiciar of Sanguis Astroism

Might we all aspire to such a long title

May we all aspire to destroy those with long titles. ;)

So one player is:

Ruler, General, Banker, Duke, Margrave (of their only city) and Marshal.

I swear we used to have rules about two family members on the same continent holding more than X senior titles between them. Any chance we could do the same for individual characters!

I'm pretty sure the rule was that not both your chars can have senior positions (to prevent double government in different realms). Tbh I don't think we need a rule against this, but I do honestly wonder why people remain in a realm led by someone hoarding all the titles, despite it having like 16 nobles or so? I'd be gone in a heartbeat prob myself...

Dead Game... People do not care enough to move.

Dead Game... People do not care enough to move.

People kinda deserve the fate they impose upon themselves, sometimes.

That said, Swordfell would probably be relatively easy to win against, by attrition at least. The long travel times through the mountains is kinda more of a pain for defenders than attackers, when the attackers have a minimum of military and economic might to back it up.

I don't know. I think most just have their house with white fence and don't care for much more. Any activity I saw there slowly died down. It was fun in the Mariah vs Crixus times though. That's when I joined BM. Civil war and war with Westfold were happening simultanously.

Reminds me a lot of some of the larger multi accounts that were purged earlier this year.

I would be extremely disappointed if any of them turned out to be multis.

Just seems suspicious that one noble would have every title for so long and not without recent precedent.

Yes, Mariah and Crixus, what a good time to be there. I happen to read on Battlemaster Wikipedia that Mariah had an agreement with Swordfell founder to let Mariah family stay forever in Swordfell one region 8)

I am honestly disappointed very very highly when many characters were found to be multi in Morek. Making me have to halt the war against HD and whatever regions gain we gained, we have to give them up. I hope not every realm including Swordfell has to suffer this.

Yes, the Greyson family owns Balance's Retreat and there are plans in play to get it back.

As much as I'm not much a fan of Crixus' playstyle, I would ask everyone here not to start speculating about such harsh accusations against a player. These have no place in the game or on the forum and if you believe there is a strong case that someone might be cheating, please report it to the titans who will then look into it.
