It has been suggested that it might be helpful for BattleMaster to have its own Discord server. I have created one, and it can be accessed at https://discord.gg/DDquJ56 (https://discord.gg/DDquJ56).
If there is interest, I will see about adding a link to that on the Chat page, or something similar.

Yay! ;D

What's wrong with IRC? I'd rather have everyone in 1 chat, instead of spread out over 2, to be honest :)

Listening to other people's voice ain't a bad idea but I can understand people being shy as well.

It's not a matter of where we want to put people. It's a matter of where people want to be.
Discord is becoming a very popular service, especially for gaming-related chats. I daresay there are many players would would be much more interested in chatting (text or voice) over Discord than over IRC.

I use discord, its way nicer than IRC, which I havent used in near a decade.
-
My main worry about Discord is that it's a single company, and while I haven't looked into it, I would frankly be surprised if they have a profitable business model at this point.
So anyone who sets themselves up as dependent on Discord for their community is at risk of losing it all if they collapse.

IRC for the win. There's text as well, and I don't need to hear all ye voices ;D ;D

Discord is very, very popular for gamers - I think this is a great idea, checking it out now!

I use discord a lot, but just about never for voice chat, not in over a year either.

I must live under a rock cause I've never heard of Discord before.

You might be living under an underground bomb shelter!

Before McTang mentioned it a few months back, I hadn't heard of it either. Not so much a gamer..

I got initiated to it a while back due to gamer friends, but now I see it used in all kinds of contexts, like random social associations, and even government workplaces.

Under sea level, does that count as well?

I tried Twitch streaming for a while, got into Discord for that. I also use Discord for my Clash Royale clan and my Rust clan. I haven't used IRC since the days of Star Wars Visions with Jor.
