Title: Treat really old accounts with care

So it seems that old accounts are deleted after half a year (?) of inactivity.
This is understandable since we need to keep the database clean.
But can we at least differenciate a little bit and be smart about cleaning up? If someone spent a few months playing a game and then disappeared - sure, delete the account in half a year. But if someone's been playing for several years, maybe give him a longer grace period? There are not that many accounts who's been around for years, we can safely keep them for a bit longer.
I think it's obvious that preservation (or the lack of thereof) of the old account can sway the decision of a potential returning player.

Vita has worked on this and there's some work-in-progress saved by him.

The title is 'Save old accounts for five years, if played longer than 3 months'.

Still don't see why there's a timelimit on it. You're talking about like, a few megabytes of space, ever.

Yeah...what the hell.

I'm going to put Vita's update live, with one change: At least for the time being, accounts over 3 months old will simply not be deleted.

No effect whatsoever on autopausing. Once I get this change live, any account older than 3 months will not auto-delete.

Hopefully someone can correct me, but I have understood that when an account is gone, its gone :(

If your account was deleted because of not logging in for several months (after getting the reminder e-mails), it is gone. Not to be restored.

As said above, a new feature has recently gone into effect that will prevent that from ever happening again (unless you played for les than 3 months though).
