A wild idea that struck me, I've prepared a catcher and now I'm trying to see how many other people think it's a good idea:

There have been several writings around BM over the years, including a few actual writers. Many people have expressed interest in writing out their character or family stories. Now you can, and it is quite easy, too.
If there's interest, I can come up with a simple instruction on how to actually do it.

Well this is something! What an interesting idea.
Do you have any particular idea about format or length? And what about the level of quality we're looking at? I'm happy to contribute something, absolutely.
-
My english is a little terrible (just enough to play BM :P ), but I have a lot of RPs in my wiki (Serpentis Family). I would like to work something using the Serpentis family, be it with Erik (the char where I invested more time and efforts... and that cover a lot of EC northern history in the last years) or with some of the more unknown chars.

I'm interested. Stuff like this can act as great advertising too. People love fluff.
-
Any indication how long a tale should be?
-
I'd rather say contribute whatever you want to contribute. The Internet has enough space for all of it (contrary to what Wikipedia believes).
If there is a printed book, I'll exerct editorial control and make sure quality and length and everything are nice. There can even be a fan-version (with everything) and a "directors cut".
So in short: No restrictions. Add what you feel like adding and then we'll edit it into something beautiful.

This sounds like fun! Will you be posting the guide you mentioned, Tom? I am a Github illiterate
-
With the future acquisition of Github by the evil empire, I guess the project will move to Gitlab or something. I'll figure that out the next days when I move all my other projects.
-
Np, will be right here waiting!
-
There'll definitely be some kind of Dubhaine contribution when I can make time as I've not been capturing all that random fluff in the wiki for no reason :)
-
If I have time, I will have to give this a try
-
So was it ever moved?

Several years back, Tom himself actually put out a Battle Master story/book of his own on Amazon.com.
Beyond the Blight, by Tom Vogt. (70 pages)
I believe it is still available on Kindle for about $5.
Maybe it can provide some "flavor" to get some of you started on your own stories.
Get the juices flowing...
