The Command Staff Settings are a great feature that is unfortunately not used very much. The purpose of this thread is to get your feedback and input on what would be useful for marshals and generals to better command and manage their army and win battles.
Do you use any formations in the Command Staff Settings page?
What formations would you like to see be made available?
Ideally there should be a handful of formations to choose from that are useful and practical to use. Having some more advanced formations that are useful would be great to, such as some of the current ones that cause units to advance later or create mixed lines of troops.

If you are talking about marshal settings, they are actually used quite often.
I think it wouldn't hurt to get new additions for sure since some of them are somewhat outdated.

They do get used some, unfortunately mostly in cases where the marshal doesn't trust their army to line up properly or just doesnt understand line settings. Given how few of them are even semi-useful, this is too bad for those armies. Marshals should take more time to work on custom settings and communicate with their armies. Once they get used to being expected to line up themselves instead of being treated like bots, they tend to do well. Repetition and consistency is key.
That being said, new marshal settings, especially in regards to ones that change unit behavior, would be useful. I will put some thought into it.

Sure custom marshal settings would be nice. That however would require a new system per se. Whereas changing the current marshal settings would be very easy.

Except when Anaris balances unit types again, those fixed settings will become obsolete. Better to implement a future proof version than have static formations which will not be used in time.
