The right to attend a tournament is closely guarded.  What about the right to not attend?    Can you be ordered to attend a tournament?

Feature Requests / Ease of Adventuring

Share All Convenience Button:

Add a quick message button while adventuring:

For convenience, I'd like a button at the end of a hunt that would send a "Report" type message to all of the nearby adventurers that contains: "[Monsters:21:2:41d86ae30bfb1bHASH900c638903c24] (group #5 in Region)".   This will replace: Ctrl+C, click Messages, click All nearby adventurers, click in the message area, click again in the message area, Ctrl V, click send.   You'd still need to do copy/pasting to send to individual adventurers.

You can now search for the next larger group of monsters.

You can also ask other adventurers for support, or rest and come back later. Here is the location data:

Monster group: 5
Location: 41d86ae30bfb1b0dfHASH0c638903c24

If you cut & paste the following string into a message, its recipients will get a nice link to use:
[Monsters:21:2:41d86ae30bfb1b0dHASH0c638903c24] (group #5 in Region)
You can send this to all nearby adventurers.

Benefits:
Save time.
Possible Exploits:
None.

Feature Requests / Marshal settings
« on: May 20, 2012, 11:59:21 PM »
Title: Uhm... I'm not doing THAT.

Summary: Add the ability for members of an army to override the marshal settings without having to leave their army.

Details:  Add a toggle box to the unit settings page that when checked, will use your settings in battles instead of the Marshal settings.  (Maybe) Add a notification in battle setup that __Noble__ ignored their (Vice) Marshal's orders.

Benefits:  Your noble is in command of his unit, not some Marshal.   You'll likely pass on the Marshal settings, so that your army fights together, but those few times you'd rather not...   if your marshal has screwed up settings in the past, if you want to avoid equipment damage, let others do the fighting this time, afraid of capture (have a ban in the realm you're fighting?),  or if the Marshal orders you to ignore the general army settings (to preserve your unit?)

Let the loyalist Nobles fight this battle for us, then we start the rebellion!

Possible Exploits:  Not sure how I would exploit this.

Feature Requests / Food Feature

You shall not pass!:

Summary:
It seems to me the new food markets take away a former dynamic of the strategy involved with food.  This idea may make it feasible again to starve out an enemy region... or even an ally's region

Details:
As either a diplomatic treaty or a Banker setting, disallow realm X to trade through your realm.  When a person goes to make a trade, a route is traced (somewhat like the routefinder for traveling), if no route can be found that does not go through a "disallow trades" realm, then there is a chance of your shipment being confiscated enroute.   For example:
Realm A and B are at war.
Realm A has selected to not allow realm B to trade food through realm A's regions.
Realm B needs food for it's city, realm C is offering to sell food.
There is no path from the region selling food in realm C to the city buying food in realm B that does not go through realm A.
Realm B can buy the food, and realm C will be paid, but there is a chance for realm A to confiscate the shipment.
Additionally there could be a chance for each region the food goes through that contains troops from realm A.

Benefits:
It would return the "under siege" feeling, especially on maps like Dwilight where cities are often completely surrounded by their outskirt region.  It would also make the scorched earth tactic feasible again.

Possible Exploits:
None that I can think of right now.

Dwilight / The war against the lack of wars, may we all win.
« on: May 19, 2012, 10:16:37 PM »
I guess we need an unbiased thread dedicated to our little war in the north east,  all the other wars have threads.

Good battle in Nifel, the first ever use of the region's walls (excepting Monsters).  I think had the whole of the Morek and Libero army made it to battle, it would have been a very close thing.  Now start the RPing!
