Wiki / Re: Semantics for Newspapers

Most of this should be possible, though we might need some more modules for the wiki to allow all the logic to work. Perhaps we should set up a dummy paper for testing?

encourage the rest of the empire to beat them into submission or replace them with nobles more inclined to follow the laws of the empire? Really half the fun would be the politics and wars required to hold the empire together.

Gloria, while I sat in your prison we received two separate torture notices. I've no idea WHO you tortured, but I know you did it more then once. Could have been the same character twice though.

Yup, we figured it was the perfect location. Long as the colony maintains good relations with their southern neighbours they should be able to send out infils AND avoid a war at their front door.

Yes, that is a common bug with SMF forums. They use that span to insert the data if you log in as admin, so its always there to give the DOM modification a hook. Changing it would involve either a module, or modifying the SMF code.

Wiki / Re: Semantic Lists in Use

Had a bit more of a look. To split the list into columns Foundation has used the new CCS3 columns property, which only works for firefox and webkit browsers. I'm using chrome myself and can see that when that column property is active, we lose the default bullet image. Foundation got around this by applying a bullet image to every list object, should be possible to do something similar using the BM wiki bullet, but honestly we are making ugly ugly code.

I've used the standard BMwiki image, but here is the catch, I've directly linked to it, so it will ignore the users skin choices. Really I think we need to work out why the bullet isn't being placed when we split the output to multiple columns, but I suspect it is a problem with the browser render engine.

I can have a look at it, I was working on something similar for religions.

First thing I notice for the Far East Realms, you specify a 300 pixel table column for the realms, and a 700 pixel 4 column element for the lost realms. On a modest monitor, (this one at work is 15 inch) that results in a lot of the list being off the page.

Champions online has moved to a similar F2P model. However you are limited to pre-designed characters unless you are paying the monthly fee, and really the strength of the game for me was the ability to mix and match powers to create my hero.

Wiki / Re: Resolving semantic issue with the "part of" property

I though my region list box handles Duchies pretty well, though yes it has issues with realms named after the capital. I haven't really looked at how to handle imperial regions though. The bigger problem for me about rolling the thing out is that semantic data still isn't updated without a page save. One way around it that might not be as big a resource drain as the standard semantic update script, would be to produce a couple of pages that import all the external data about regions etc, and then have a script update these pages at whatever interval.

If you look at the Arcaean region pages, you can see Part of is already holding multiple entries, so I'm not 100% on what the advantage of moving to record type property, unless this type would make it easier to figure out which on the entries is associated with a level of realm hierarchy?
