I do not agree with Titan always but they are right and wrong in their own ways.

Even when I not playing to win, I have been on losing sides for many times, cue Fontan and Morek Empire and Oritolon did lost once too. I playing with friends here. Therefore I adapt. I changed my characters. I have hope one day to train an infiltrator to play stabbing game which I haven't done so far. Not easy to train an infiltrator these days. My characters changed a lot.

Take Brock, now former Nivemus Ruler on East Continent. He first joined Fontan realm as avdenturer. Almost die as adventurer because he broke nobles unique items, he was beaten, captured by own Fontan realm, somehow survived. He fought Sirion, Perdan and Westmoor. He had a brief tine facing his sister May from Sirion. That was when 2 nobles character time. He even promoted from knight to lord, then finally banker. Caligus held Fontan city, then Fontan fall. Brock moved on, joined Nivemus. After all, a realm rise and fall. Part of game back then.

Now in Nivemus. Before Brock become Ruler, natural progression. Knight, lord, duke, vice marshal, marshal, general and finally ruler.

From his vice marshal, marshal and general time. Nivemus fight Perdan and Obsidian Island and Westmoor.

Now ruler. Nivemus fight Perdan, First Oligarch, Shadowdale. Then North versus South. He withdrew from this war which began lopsided for Perdan much to Nivemus disadvantages as Nivemus lost nobles during the long peace afterwards and realm started to lose nobles. Nevermind, Brock had to soldier on. He changed his playing style did not want war with Perdan. As Ruler every people say ruler need create fun. No war no fun. Okay, no war. So we need to find war. War with Sirion? Some guys called Brock crazy. Who else was the weakest or similar strength realm we could fight on our own? If no ally want come help us to balance war. Nobody. Keep find war. Time pass. Brock had a brilliant idea. We could start a Crusade since Nivemus had state religion and we were having lords, nobles followers in Sirion and even Eponllyn. Oh well. Somebody started rebellion. We should see the signs. He let some regions starved. Still we trusted him, he become Banker, Duke and lord. We went to stop rebellion. Bam. Our plan went to ruin. State religion destroyed. Rebel ran away say dont chase. Out of fair game and want play this Battlemaster game with friends, we allowed the rebel escape. Then rebel said he would come back with an army. He did come back with Perdan army. Oh well. People cannot be trusted, and here Brock trusted them again and again. Then this new war with Shadowdale. Shadowdale say thing, cannot trust Nivemus could not be trusted to defend against Perdan. They challenged us, of course someone has to show them they are wrong, which they did, when they saw how well defended Kalmar and staring contest between Perdan and Nivemus later on. Perdan saw no way through fortified position, declared war on Eponllyn. Land based regions to link up to Nivemus. What Nivemus going to do about it? Is Nivemus going to watch Perdan takeover Eponllyn lands one by one until ot reach Nivemus lands link, only Nivemus army can fight Perdan? Oh well. Nivemus got blamed partly or mostly or whichever, so Tim talking. I have to listen Tim talking. He helped answered many of my questions, so I like this guy attitude. So I changed my playing style again. No more breaking unique item and anger character Brock is. From now on, he friend with Perdan Ruler. He gives out details, worked the details, informed Eponllyn Ruler and Perdan Ruler that we are trying to get our realm nobles to listen and follow. All while war raging around us. Eponllyn has to fight Shadowdale. What? How many sizes is Eponllyn comparer to Shadowdale and Perdan? So merger is the only way, then peace with Perdan, then Eponllyn absorbing Nivemus can fight Shadowdale if they still fine. Then Brock got push out, admins say they saw one Brock letter enough, all his other efforts not good enough. He can byebye. And so here we are. Stuck at square one. Again. Noble left Nivemus quit in protests of this Titans intervention. But nevermind me. Many people say Nivemus deserves this fate after Nivemus pull out of the everyone lopsided war. After what Brock done. Thank you, Brock deserves to rest from now on. Let see who want to take up this and clear all these mess.

Thank you for listening. No chance for me to defend myself before got kick out.

I have to vote No. Nobody guilty here. Allow me to give my opinion.

As player of Brock Ketchum, Nivemus Ruler and now ex-Ruler, I have heard a lot of arguments and points made regarding Nivemus. I even changed Brock character considerably. I am thankful to both Tim and Vita here. Whenever I have questions, I can consult them and they patiently answered my questions.

Though I disagreed with Tideweaver statement that we are given chance to defend ourselves, I never did get opportunity to defend myself. All I hear are a lot of negativity surrounding Discord, Forum even including Ketchum family is bad but I take it as a pinch of salt. If my characters are really playing not in the way the developers wanted, then we have to change it. I even joined in OOC discussion on all Rulers channel, apparently it was not enough defend. I even initiated talk with Eponllyn that we should merge immediately, I even talk with Perdan Ruler that we should let bygone be bygone. Of course all it takes is one letter to discriminate Brock whole efforts. As Nivemus Ruler who is allied with Sirion Ruler, is it too much for Brock to ask Sirion Ruler what happening since Sirion army is nowhere to be found? And I was even called power gaming in another thread. It is no wonder many players avoided forum and OOC. I give and gave chance to practically anyone to become lords and one even became duke and rebel in Nivemus. I even spread the positions to anyone who just requested for it, instead of keeping to a certain group. Only when noone interest, only my character stepped in. My character was punished by rebellion, spite on his trust and he still trusting people until people call him names. It is a wonder that Brock still trust people these days. I practically play him as full of anger character at beginning, developing to someone I cannot recognize anymore just to adapt to the changes.

Bravo.

Anyway it is not Tim or Vita fault. It is Brock who everyone say Ketchum family playing differently than what they wanted.

Unfortunately I don't think you get the points made. I say Yssgard helps Caligus, not Yssgard help Eponllyn or Nivemus.

Also if you attack someone weak, as I say being bully by big kid example, then you have to expect one day that small kid stand up or that small kid find his bigger brother. The point here you made just show us all why Nivemus ran to ally with Sirion in the first place. Why it is North versus South again? Precisely because of this.

The developers have helped to develop the game, I am thankful. They even limit "something I cannot say here", hello I am talking to wall now? So I need show someone how to steal from my home now. The point is chokepoint can be beaten. If you dont know how to beat it, then obviously there are some factors you haven't counted on when assaulting a strong point. And I am not going to destroy current Nivemus players fun for the sake of showing you. Sorry.

I read Constantine latest post and I have some ideas want to throw out.

I have throw out my two cents OOC at a Rulers channel in East Continent.

Constantine, I understand you get that Nivemus and Sirion are unbreakable alliance. Coming from Nivemus, our players there also kept calling Perdan evil for years and this latest war just proved that, not only to Nivemus, Sirion, Eponllyn and Caligus.

Personally I attempted to shake things up. I even appointed new characters as lord in Nivemus. I not sure why I need to provide a book called "How to beat Nivemus in 30 ways and form your own Colony" here. You can take a leaf out of a Perdan character named Zelgius. He should know what are the weaknesses of Nivemus. He was in Nivemus for sometime and he was Duke of Nivemus capital, Banker to boot. If your colony team can go in Nivemus and have enough nobles number to form colony, why not? My character at one point considered two possibilities left: Merger with Eponllyn before your war declaration postponed it indefinitely. And another to give Shadowdale a place to form a colony. Nivemus need noble number, what's better way than to shake the realm from within? Zelgius did rebel against Brock no? He did not have number to form a new colony. Perdan now has.

Also you need to take into consideration. Perdan is fighting as you say IC against the vast resources of Nivemus. How that vast resources come from? From peace time and not fighting. So in some character progragranda you all pointed to wealthy Brock. We do have infiltrator class aye? Why not use infiltrator take Brock out? Brock the so called leader of military cobbled up last minute to fight is out wounded cold. Then nobody can transfer gold. Wait, why am I showing you?  8)

Also have you ever considered breaking down the alliance between Nivemus and Sirion? Influence Nivemus to join your side. Perdan Ruler never talk to Brock, I recall this clearly well. My character Brock word of congratulations is ignored. So how you can convince someone you not talking to abandon Sirion?  :(

Brock had good relations with previous Perdan King Kay, that why Nivemus not join North versus South war at later stage of the war. So why not make full use of this relations and build upon it? Not by saying to Brock Dukes privately that you want their lands straightaway? Then when privately fail, try Brock next 😜

If yes, then we have reached characters relationship. You have to realize by now why Duke Malius of Kalmar duchy stood by Brock all these time in Nivemus. Not because he is current Nivemus Judge. He was not even a Judge in Nivemus when he first joined. He was former Obsidian Islanders Emperor and he chose to join Nivemus. Brock charisma then. Of course Brock charisma could go wrong way as in Zelgius case who was Duke of Nivemus capital.

Also Nivemus alliance is not made with Sirion before Perdan declared War. We did not even discuss this matter within Nivemus. So how your war declaration make this thing happen? Simply put, Perdan has highest nobles count compared to Nivemus. Of course we feel like we are being bully by big kid at school, excuse the pun. So we have to find an almost similar size built kid to balance the scale ???

All in all. I think we may have to emulate Colonies island example where Colonial Senate had restricted each realm to one city each before the change recently. If one realm hold more than one city, everyone else attack them. We need to do our players reset ourselves.

If you really want to correct an unbalanced war as you say.

Why the most nobles realm can declare war on the most lesser nobles realm? Should lesser nobles realm get help from another realm to balance the scale of war?

Even when you limit it by alliance. Even when you limit the war on one realm in this Caligus, Yssgard the supposedly ally of Caligus showed up nowhere in Eponllyn and Nivemus lands and got beaten and send back home.

Right now you say you include another "dont want old conflict". Yet Perdan want to travel to Nivemus lands via Eponllyn lands. After that long staring contest at Kalmar city with scouts sent here and there without any breakthrough. Eponllyn being ally of Caligus want to help Caligus, but then Perdan declared war on them. Yes, for passage right. Shadowdale is already beating Caligus to Fontan city. Then Perleone joins against Caligus. Yssgard wasted their golden chance to make thing right to balance the war by Yssgard attacking Eponllyn and Nivemus lands instead.

Why not you limit the war as well? Say "you can't fight that realm A because you at your limit density for war." Since we already doing nobles density for region and realm alliance density limit, why not nobles density for war?

Then there will not be continental war that last long time or many years.

I happen to share same experience with Constantine here. Granted in the past we can see realms rise and fall. Now we seen realms fall not because of war, but because of density issue imposed. So realm merge into another realm, become even bigger realm.

I used to be in Fontan where we faced outnumbered odds against Perdan, Sirion and Westmoor. Then Caligus joined in and thumbed their mighty noses at Fontan by holding Fontan city. I still recalled with giggles that our Prime Minister of Fontan begged Caligus King Dobromir blessed his player, for return of Fontan city. Those were the good times.

So Thalmarkin got a little help on Belu not to die by admin and then Caligus got the same help albeit different one on East Continent not to die. Other players got eyes see these events you know?  ::)

Nivemus faced outnumbered odds against Shadowdale. No admin help coming. Nivemis faced outnumbered odds against Perdan. No admin help coming.

Playing outnumbered war is a good experience for players in the past. Why change now?

Some suggestions you may consider.

If some characters are rich with gold, they can spend hundred if not thousand to relocate their homes.

I do agree current Family Home looks a little bland. You have an uncle who you dislike but get along after sometime.

Probably the only useful thing I ever had my character doing is having his realm fight another realm over a Family Home region that he wanted to be in his realm hand. Some silly war to fight over. It gets my creativity going. Family home region in someone else realm hand? Go fight for it ;D ;D

That is not entirely correct. You don't need 15 nobles in a city. You need 15 nobles in a duchy that has a city to form a new realm.

You used to not have this restriction. It was added to reduce the number of realms since we had too many small realms that were inactive and semi-dead.
I just saw this post. So I was blocked from seceding all this while?!  >:(  >:(

I used to think it depends on number of nobles in a realm before you can secede.

Thank you for the first post and I also read Constance post and agree with the part "enemy of my enemy is not friend".

If we really wish to make things fun, we should have attempt to make not 15 nobles number require to secede.

1) Case one.
Nivemus on East Continent. I have been stuck where I cannot get my dukes to secede. Nivemus has 4 cities. A new realm can have 2 cities. Then look at number of Nivemus nobles. Not enough to secede. 15? Might as well give lands to other realm nearby and merge. Then we have land to nobles density which implemented to make things "fun". Now you see we have so many rogue lands in North of East Continent. Not to mention so many rogue lands in the East of Dwilight. That is cause and effect.

2) Case two
Irondale in so called alliance with Nothoi on Belueterra. Sirion and the rest of North realms in East Continent. Outer Tilog and its ever changing nearby realms on Colonies. Arnor and Alliance of Nations in Dwilight.

When there are so many new things implemented, inevitably there will be causes and effects. It has been said we can loot food and gold in rogue lands in Dwilight when we need them. See how my character managed to loot so much food from Nighogg Mark in Dwilight. New trend, "no need take the region, loot them to rogue and loot them when rogue".

About the big alliance. Ever wonder why all smaller realms nearby survive? By friending the nearby bigger realms. When on East Continent Sirion finally beaten Fontan without any development changes while Caligus ate Fontan city and kept it for good, it is inevitable that a realm of previous Sirion realm size will grow big. Then to control more lands, of course Sirion need to create new realm. When not put restrictions in place at that time, we can see many new realms such as First Oligarch, Nivemus from ashes of SoA, then Shadowdale. When put restrictions, then you have merger. It looks like players just implement and move along with what changes coming up. You do not want new realm with such restrictions, then we give you merger instead.

Spoken from my experience of merging Morek into Arnor, Caelint into Irondale. I have been merging realms and about to do another. Thank you for this new trend.

3) Case number 3
Players good standard, never do wrong characters and no evil characters.

On Colonies, as past ruler of Oritolon who consistently annoyed Colonial Senate for their inability to punish any realm who broke their rules, I had my character Ash Ketchum got Himoura the infiltrator to wreak havoc on Outer Tilog, Oritolon realm long time nemesis. Of course one of my characters May Ketchum was responsible for Colonial Senate founding pre-events where Outer Tilog and Lukon attacking Oritolon and she opened the gate where Oritolon defense was strongest at Iglavik. That was when we could play two characters and I played Ash as honorable while May as the hidden motive character. Given the low number of players and high number of rogue lands that cannot be claimed, cannot bring two neighbor realms together who divided by rogue lands, do you think there is interaction between two neighboring realms? That is cause and effect of the changes. You want us to be closer, maybe by merge but rogue lands make us wider. How far Arnor from Swordfell? Many rogue lands.

I do want to say, bring back two characters on an island. It is like Ying Yang. One character good, one character bad. Why can't trust your players to play the evil characters?

Case number 4
How many evil characters we have met in our characters life? Do we encourage this? There are too many heroes and heroines, honorable nobles. There should be some mischief among them to spice things up. When we need use heavy hammer rules and changes to force characters interactions, we force characters to change. The Duke character jumped to Obia Syela on Belueterra, Thalmarkin facing outnumbered odds. And suddenly some changes happened on that island and all other islands.

Sorry for if I am too honest. Here's my honest feedback as player of rulers past and current. Yes, it can be not fun playing in small realm but have you ever considered some players want that kind of style? Facing heavy and outnumbered odds. On East Island or Continent. So many realms just to beat First Oligarch. Even now Nivemus is gaining nobles as we face outnumbered one to three odds against Shadowdale. We have so many possibilities to be explore not only for Nivemus, but even Thalmarkin.

Let us see another realm example without any change intervention. See how Halcyon got reduced to Duchy of Alowca on Colonies island, they lost Duchy of Alebad which has highest infrastructures and do they complain? No. They bide their time, every big realm has their glory days and fallen days. What's Transformer quote? I rise, you fall.

East Island / Re: The War

I think at one point we going to run out of gas in this North versus South War. Resource like gold, men and food are pouring in like no tomorrow. Those who smartly do not participate in battles that not favor them, saving them for another key battle. I wonder if any key battles are showing up in this war.

Morek has 21K CS vs 27k CS for Arnor.

Sure, a significant disadvantage... but Morek has more active characters. And that's total CS, not mobile CS. From what I heard, their mobile forces were similar?

But then Avernus adds another 28,000 and though that's offset by Swordfell, Swordfell is so distant they'd only be able to help intermittently while Avernus's capital is a few days away from Morek's.

Before I left Morek's general laid out how screwed we'd be in a direct confrontation. That's half the reason I joined Goldora. I'll take a meaningful active war over a pointless hypothetical one any day.
Bad Avernus. Spoil the fun in the north.

Perhaps a combination of the two factors then? "10th member has joined the order" and something else. I am tempted to say 10,000 followers? Nice round number, pretty attainable with some effort, although only readily available to a priest- I don't have access to a religion spread off the bat... Perhaps the second factor might be being a major faith in more than 5 regions?
Let try it.

Why not being major faith in at least 5 realms or above?

Feature Requests / Re: Colonial Master!
November 07, 2018, 10:20:30 AM
Even with distance in place, on Colonies island, Lukon(include current Portion lands), Oritolon and Outer Tilog basically rule over the island. We understood that better than Tom reset whole Colonies island, we players reset ourselves pretty much.

Then the Colonial Senate stuff happen where we:

-create a few new realms(one realm one city)
-giving Assassins realm monopoly over infiltrators(While trying so hard not to break game rule where you cannot force people to change to other classes from infiltrators. As Oritolon Ruler at that time I even allowed an infiltrator by the name of Himoura who likes to play infiltrators so much, he ended up visit all Assassins realm infiltrators and wounded them all. Good times)

Colonies island has long distance war going on between Aren/Halycon/Oritolon versus Outer Tilog/Giblot. As current Army Marshal of Oritolon, I can attest that I did not even use Mercenary setting as we go from Oritolon city down central south all the way to Outer Tilog lands(Hilly Holes?) to fight battles.

As I understand this request, so next time Oritolon army can travel all the way to Giblot city, maybe plunder the northland of Outer Tilog lands while troop leaders pay little to no gold for not-even-Mercenary setting? Do please correct me if I am wrong.
