No point in a new thread for such a simple question!

How does one stop traveling?

I have traveled to a region and when I did I set it to automatically travel to the next. A group of undead and monsters appeared one region over and I simply want to scout it but my only scout option is to scout ahead of me...is their any way to scout this neighboring region?

Well, I'm a fellow DFer, I'm just not new to BattleMaster. (BTW - can't wait for my dorfs to start riding mine-cart roller coasters!)

I can only imagine the new contraptions of death the creative community will come up with! lol.

I am glad to have found this game though. Bit slow pace but that's alright...I love it so far despite that.

avengmil has 10200 pop.. so roughly 20 bushels a day consumed (21 according to marketplace.php).
it has a food rating of 135 and produces (according to marketplace.php) 19 bushels a day
atm.. >100% production

135/7 ~19

so to use your figures

73307/500 -> ~147 bushels per day
1556/7 -> ~222 bushels
222/147 ->1.51

Thanks for the proper math =P I assumed I was figuring something wrong.

Thats where I am confused...according to stats on Sunday the 8th

Barca
pop = 73307
food = 1556
surplus = +%51.61288437

Pop + %51 = 142032

food x 500 = 778000

Shouldn't Pop + surplus = food x 500? (roughly)

because food if calculated per day would mean Barca could feed 778k people per day at that rate.

If I take food x 500 then divide it by 5 (days of the week) I get about 15000 people fed which seems accurate...if I divided by 7 it was just over 100k so that didn't work

so it looks like the numbers on the region info screen are based on a 5 day week.

Also my holding says I only get about 50 gold a week...which would never match up with the 4k per day economy as we only have 9 regions and mine alone all said and done only gets about 150 a week in taxes. Unless my region is simply abnormal in an extreme way due to its plodding productivity.

I would assume he would leave his old duchy behind and acquire the ruler duchy. His old one would become lordless and the old ruler would likely take it up.

The Capital region and duchy would be a seat of power with more prestige and the like than any other duchy in a realm...so to acquire the ruler dutchy and ditch your old one would be easy enough. like dropping your simple throne for the throne of a nation.

Yeah, it would definitely have to be the same duchy each time, with the duke auto-changing to be the current ruler.

Maybe have the Duchy of the capital city be connected to the ruler. In the case capital being moved have the Duke/Duchess of that region lose their title and the old ruler duchy become Dukeless (to avoid automatically giving a duke a region that's about to fall or something if you moved it in panic).

If the king is killed or otherwise removed then have the duchy revert to a lordless one until a new ruler is appointed.

not really complicated...

You need Wood and Stone.

If you do not have enough wood or stone you can replace that with 2x of another resource or replace it with equal amounts of gold.

I think you just have to many numbers on the screen and that makes it look complicated.
