Dwilight / The Night's Watch Realm
« on: April 12, 2014, 03:21:00 AM »
As some might have noticed by now, I have sent a letter conveying a message trying to explain why we should create such a realm. I will repeat the idea here in simpler wordings:

OOC'ly we know the monsters will stay West, and that we are just forced to migrate, but we kind of just assumed our characters magically knew aswell. As a result, I sent this message IC'ly warning people about the monsters possibly following us, and the need of a defense organized for the sake of Dwilight's humans. Hence, this IC'ly totally epic and useful realm that OOC'ly actually makes not much sense (but the devs hinted, or rather handed us the tiniest spark of hope that should this succeed they might make it an interesting PvE fight).

Result: We get the Night's Watch. They will be a PvE realm that will fight ungodly large hordes of monsters with only a small area and as a result will need to be supported by all other realms, very much as the Night's Watch is supposed to be supported in the GoT universe. In here that will mean a steady tax of gold and food to keep the PvE going. Additionally, you can send your banished traitors etc there instead of to another continent ot straight away executing them.

I will see how everyone will react to this, and if people are willing to cooperate, which'd be awesome, we can get this started.

Since I did not found any other appropriate thread for this, I totally am going to post this here.

Total:
2 attackers (165 Arch)
1 defenders (75 other)
Total combat strengths: 1606 vs. 5330

The troops from (rogue) set up defenses because they control the battlefield.
The Silnaria troops attack because they are at war with (rogue).

Strong winds and gusts are making ranged combat a game of luck.

Robin of Arescod, Baron of Galadia is spotted wielding the Sword of Flame.

When I saw the initial report I almost crapped my pants in despair that yet another unit of mine would have been completely wasted. I was surprised when I kept on reading.

The battle lasted for 5 hours.
You have gained 4 Honour and 3 Prestige.
None of your men were killed but 13 were wounded in this battle.
Your unit gains 27 points of Morale. Your men's equipment suffers 34 % damage. Combat training increases by 4 points. Unit cohesion rises 10 points.

Even though it was 1606CS vs a mighty 5330CS, we managed to turn 75 undead into 17 and that with relatively okay losses. Half of the battle being fought in melee that is. I felt heart-warmed by my soldiers, and envisioned a horde of undead charging at Agincourt when I read through the battle. Most glorious.

Are there any other unit commanders who feel immensely proud of their unit? Be careful not to throw anything out here that is realm-sensitive though.

Helpline / Effects of Religious views

Here I am, after browsing the wiki, wondering what for IG effect it has if a religion views another religion as 'misguided' or even 'evil'.

Does it have any direct effects, or is it just cosmetic? I looked for it in the wiki but it only said

Religious Views
Religions have official views on other religions. The details are explained in the in-game context help.

If anyone would be as kind as to enlighten me about this, it would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!
