Feature Requests / Honorary/Ceremonial Titles

Allow the ruler to create customary titles. Although the titles will be have no game mechanics, except perhaps a little gold and prestige boost, they could have large roleplay potential. Nobles who are appointed to these titles should bear them in their messages. So for example:

King's Guardian: The title
This nobleman has been appointed as a loyal and courageous warrior to defend the king: A short description
+10 gold a week: Gold income from the ruler or realm's treasury.
A King's Guardian has been appointed for this role for life: Title's should be customizable. Ruler should be able to appoint them, or a title could be elected by the nobles in a similar manner to lordships. Also it should be possible to set a max amount of this type of title to be handed out.

I think this way battlemaster can create a "catch all" system for other types of positions we might want to customize into our realm. Perhaps there should be a maximum number of titles to create based on the size of the realm's nobles so that a realm doesn't go crazy to give every noble a personal title.

Your a disembodied brain controlling clones and robots on a planet. Mine gold and then buy weapons and more soldiers to kill your enemies! A fun physics engine and destructible terrain. I've known it for a long time and its paid back the money that I bought it for.

I found this game out in the Cortex Command forum actually. Its another 2d scrolling game. While the above game is hotseat, this game is online multiplayer. Focuses on team work, since the individual classes in the game can't really win by themselves. If there was another game you could compare this too, its like Terreria. Build fortesses and then try and crush the other team's fortress.

In Asylon, Dwilight, a Knight recently was deleted. I'm unsure if this directly caused this but an error has shown up in the hierarchy:

Dwilight / Asylon Realm Thread

Please only post here if you are from Asylon.


Here is the place where we can Out of characterly improve Asylon as a place for players to have fun. Try and keep it Out of Character and not to talk about IC matters. Here is a list of questions that you might want to answer:

Are you provided with a suitable income to recruit a decent unit and maintain them?

Do you feel the atmosphere is appropriately SMA?

Is the ruler trying to make an effort to try and provide interest in the realm?

What do you think is making you stay in Asylon?

Are you feeling ignored from the ruler and council members?

Is there good amounts excitement and action in Asylon?


Feel free to write a review or criticism about Asylon. Now I don't really want to determine what direction the realm should IG but instead try and find out how we can try and include everyone and help people to become more involved in the realm. I want you to try and contribute as much as you want to Asylon so that we can a realm that is interesting, fun and exciting for all players to partake in.

Feature Requests / Close Region Borders

Have an option for lords to prevent peasant migration. Perhaps it shouldn't entirely prevent the peasants from moving, but at least make sure most of them remain in the region. Maybe an option to prevent them from leaving, or entering.

I don't know how realistic this is, but sometimes I want my region to grow to the max rather than having all the peasants move away.

What would be your favorite government system? From the point of view of a ruler or knight.

My favorite would be (as ruler):

Theocracy,

Ruler: elected once
General: elected quarterly
Judge: appointed by ruler
Banker elected monthly
Lead the masses with religion and have almost all the power for yourself! Give the nobles the ability to elect their general and banker to keep 'em happy. ;)

Helpline / Priest Influence Options

Is it worth it to use these? Or does it cause too many followers to abandon the faith to outweigh the benefits? I would think that if you use it in regions where your religion is in total dominance, then it wouldn't matter how many followers you lose because they would just get converted back anyway. Otherwise other religions could come and take them up.

Helpline / Looting and Isolated Village

The game states that looting an isolated village will almost never send a message to the ruler, while the wiki states that no message will be sent? What are the probabilities in this? Can I be confident that no one will catch me looting?

Also, whenever I do use this option to loot, I only kill a few peasants. The flavor text says I would be killing all the witnesses in the village. I can't really see a village composed of a mere three or five peasants. That is more like assaulting a single house and family.

Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, are my top three. It doesn't look too unique, but there is a reason why they are a lot of people's favorites!

I like a lot more, but there are too many to name...

Feature Requests / Personal Prison

I think this has been discussed before in the d-list, just bringing it up again.

Now that we know which unit is fighting who in battle and being able to know who capture who, nobles should be able to keep another prisoner in their own prison. Of course, the judge's prison should be vastly superior in being able to keep a prisoner than a regular knight's cage(or possibly estate if your nice). Anyone should be able to capture a noble and ransom them. However at lower levels your restricted in the ability to do things. So,

Knight's Prison: High escape chance, only action is to release prisoners
Lord's Prison: Medium escape chance due to having better funds for a dungeon. Should be able to take noble's gold and items.
Duke's prison: Low escape chance, but have the same amount of actions as a lord
Judge's Prison: Lowest escape chance. Of course, all actions are available.

I think you should also be able to transfer a prisoner to another person. So if want to say torture a noble, you'd have to send them to the judge in order to get that done. During this transit time, they would have a higher chance than regular to escape.

This will be more realistic in that everyone has a chance of capturing and possibly making some money ransoming nobles.
