How about a too much peace mechanic with 10-15k CS of rogues popping up if you're not at war. No morale penalties or anything too extreme... Just send a message: Get your !@#$ together and defeat this. But watch it ruin your regions first. So.. maybe declare war?

It'd be better than a mechanic that requires nobles to stay at home even when at war.

Also, no more cursewords? :P

Yes. Bore them into declaring war.

Oh I should have added: rogues suck. They're an impediment to conflict and a distraction to human interaction. If we'd get rid of them all together, that's be just fine.

We just managed to kill like 30 odd k CS in Luria. 20k from the South, 10k from the North and then probably a few other random ones. I took on the 10k with my 1.6k (initially) CS SF and killed them by myself in 6 consecutive battles.  8)
Then we just killed the rest with 4-5 nobles. They didn't move all together and split up so it was relatively easy pickings. They also suicided on a townsland for a bit.

Hey I'm from Perdan and I was having a chuckle.

Chuckles are the only reason to come on the forum anyway.

That and spying on what's happening in other realms. >: )

Well, what exactly did Xavax think would happen when they claimed the entire kindergarten for themselves at their first day of school?

As always people manage to disappoint me even further and I wasn't certain this was possible at this point in BM...Caligus will soon be joining the fray against Oligarch, the big heros that they are!

I can make you one promise though, if 5 nations start gang up to destroy Oligarch, Garas will stop at nothing to destroy each and every single one of them, no matter how much people beg for a peace treaty and think it's unfair. Either that or I'll just stop playing, but this is pathetic.

Elves are pussies.

What about riling up the peasants and militia to try and kill the lord?

You can already drive out the lord and/or knight(s?) by using the auto da fe option. If you've got enough of a following in the region and the lord/knight isn't a follower of your religion.

Since you can only kill heroes anyway and those only the battlefield, this option is exactly what you're suggesting and as far as it will go.

The point of battlemaster is not to give individuals a lot of buttons to click and gain ultimate power, it is to work together with others and achieve your goals by cooperation.

Dwilight's got donut regions around it's cities where all the food is produced. You should see Nifelheim, and other cities on Dwilight, as strictly that what's inside the city's walls. The fields that you'd find in larger city-regions on other continents fall under their donut-townslands on Dwilight. Other cities, like Springdale, are coastal though, so they can still get food from fishing.

Heh. I think people start out thinking they can do anything. Only to realize that other people got their own plans and your plan is getting in the way of theirs.

I suppose it's one of the main reasons for the many complaints... :)

When I first started to play and some advertisement on another site was created quotes were asked from players. One of them, who I had often played with, came up with something along the lines of: "Battlemaster, where the only limit is your imagination."
That sums up nicely why I haven't gotten bored playing this game after more than a decade. Though it's incomplete. It's not only my imagination but everybody else's as well.
And from time to time it is amazing to see players who play by this creed run into the concrete wall that are the game mechanics or drown in the ocean of everyone else's imaginations. :)

Development / Re: Adventurers: Drop items?

Sages and wizards require too many random items to justify putting a limit on the items an advie can carry. But it's also the reason that you should never drop an item.
