and it's back to a three way fight.

No it isn't. It never was. Right at the start Sandalak was preparing for a three way fight only to find themselves getting attacked by all of Taselak and Ikalak and being in disarray but we rallied. De ja vu.

A lot of people did send their next characters to Sandalak after their previous ones died. I'm on my third character in Sandalak, some people have some loyalty. I think it's just the population of the island overall is decreasing.

The only reason why Odoaker would seek an alliance with Eponnly at this point is if it meant a larger realm could be broken down into several realms

*cough* Caligus *cough*

Also, call me stubborn  but all this 'fake war' doesn't really feel to be in the spirit of the game to me. When Perleone tried to set one up between Eponllyn and Armonia, I was sure that previously it had been said such pretend battles weren't allowed. That war was meant to be serious and there were meant to be real consequences. You might have found an easy distraction for your boredom but I can't imagine that it's particularly satisfying and I would go so far as to say it's not good for the rest of the island to have to play around this small vacuum or even good for the game as a whole.

The 'Epon' part of Eponllyn does come from Epona :)

Development / Bans
« on: September 10, 2014, 09:50:44 PM »
I was wondering, why, if someone betrays your realm by breaking their oath and switching allegiance it is so easy for them to get away with it? After they are gone from your realm you can't ban them unless you catch them again and only then if you catch them doing something illegal. Maybe it would help promote team play and the realm mentality if you can get banned after switching realms, not for infinitely long afterwards but maybe the judge gets a chance for 2 or 3 days after someone leaves their realm to ban them in the same manner as you can ban everyone who is still in your realm. Has anyone thought about that before?

Recently I was attacked by bandits while traveling without a unit and they stole my gold, it has been so long that I have gone anywhere without a unit that I forgot that could happen  >:(

No, I'm not whining that we're losing, but when we start asking for terms and the first response we get is a letter that is basically telling us too go !@#$ off

I have seen letters to the contrary.

It isn't even a war anymore, it's just a !@#$ing curbstomp.

Uhh, we have had like one or two battles since it happened and now we are still taking over the first of your regions that we have got to. We aren't exactly rampaging through your regions burning them to the ground and chasing down your armies. Which is by the way what Perdan did to us :p

The nature of the game is that realms rise and fall in power and some realms die completely and it's not even certain Perdan will die. Too many players take it too personally and overreact that if their one favourite realm is threatened it's all over but keep playing and you never know what will happen in the future, there are plenty of avenues for revenge.

My name is Delvin Anaris, and I support this message.

* Deytheur agrees

The problem with spying is that there is so little risk for the individual doing it and yet it has huge effects on everyone else in the realm.

There are some sea routes on EC, like to get to the OI islands and I think there was one between Isadril and Hamadan before it got iced over so maybe those are what got you confused?

Our (Sandalak's) first general rage quit as well a few days after he was appointed (now a relative of his is the new King of Ikalak). I don't even remember exactly why any more. But then we got another one who has been quite calm (maybe a little too quiet from what I have heard) and we have Marshals and VMs and others who can pick up any slack. Holding on to power for the sake of it is a problem in many place in BM. So blaming one person won't get anyone anywhere. It's a team game. Luckily in Sandalak we overcame all our infighting and directed our energies at the other realms instead. If there are too many big egos in Ikalak that won't be the bigger man for the good of the team then as the old BM edict goes 'they deserve to die.' There's nothing to stop other nobles leaving if they don't like it there.

As an aside, Kurlock is called 'the immortal' because of that death duel he survived when the new character protection was in effect. He's called 'the Wyvern Incarnate' because that's what all our leaders will be called, chosen by the Wyvern to represent him on the mortal plane. Neither of those things means that if he dies the player will be able to make a new character and get the position back immediately.

Aw man I just got out of Perdan's prison and now I'm off to enjoy the hospitality of Fallengard.

If it's any consolation, at least your hero died in a huge battle, mine died in a battle with about 5 units in it :p

To be fair, not losing all of your major recruitment centers to the glacier helps a lot too.

So does not losing all your regions :p At least you seem to be doing better now, and still better than Perleone.

  • Coming up with some kind of RP theory behind it would be important to make sure that it fits in the game.

Like Sandalak winning the WI? :D

BM General Discussion / Re: Player of Atanamirs account lock.

And that shows you don't understand the situation. There are very few people 'bashing' Atanamir, just trying to explain what happened and the reason he was banned. They have clearly expressed that they believed he could be a nice guy too. You are defending him so fanatically that you can't see past anything than 'Grr the evil developers banned my friend' and are doing all you can to discredit them instead. Clinging to the fact that he reported some of the multicheaters doesn't help when you ignore the rest of the situation. Actually admit maybe he wasn't always the nicest guy to other people, which there is plenty of evidence for. What about Wolfang's post? Don't want to comment on that? He's a neutral person and as far as I know not especially friends with any of the devs and yet I was quite shocked by what he said.
