Helpline / Re: Lord can not sell food to own region?
« on: April 25, 2012, 09:41:04 AM »
Hmm, not sure if Lazarath bought the food there or not.  So he could not sell food he bought back to the region, even if it was starving?  That is expected behaviour?

The traders look at you funny as you try to sell them some of their own Food. It doesn't look as if they took it to be especially amusing.

That is when Lazarath tries to sell to the warehouse (on dev).

Same when I try an individual trade offer.  Worked next door in Hatdhes as her Duke.  Likely something to do with it being the Capital?  Guess i should file a bug?

Just tried it on dev as an adjacent Duke and it worked, maybe I am just losing it?

Sold the food to a neighboring region.  I will try to find more food...  Was just curious if anyone else can confirm before I file a bug.

Helpline / Lord can not sell food to own region?
« on: April 25, 2012, 08:37:57 AM »
Was recently unable to sell food to Masahakon though Lazarath has done so many times before.  Kept getting "baffled stares" from the warehouse/traders.  Is this normal or is Action->Trade not the way anymore?

TIA!

Feature Requests / Standing orders should show recent scout reports
« on: January 20, 2012, 06:40:31 AM »
People do not use the shared scout reports because it requires multiple clicks to access (Information->Scribe Notes->report).  If the latest X (my vote is 5) army shared scout reports showed up on the standing orders block it would really save a lot of cut+paste for those who play the army game.

Feature Requests / Re: Buildings that inspire loyalty to the realm

I like the idea of region lords being able to construct a single statue/monument.  It needn't have any in-game mechanics associated save for construction/destruction/rot/view, and the corresponding messages on construction/destruction.  Basically a nerfed shrine with a description.  I am torn on the idea of putting a link to in on the arrival page, though it might add to the immersion somewhat.

Though elaborate monuments to the dead exist in some region descriptions, the role-play feel advantages, and permanence of this route seem obvious.  The downside would be that the monument would be set in stone, not terribly conducive to a cemetery.  Perhaps the description could allow appending, but not overwriting, at significant cost of course.

You simply cannot force people to be active, willing participants in the religion aspect of the game.

Amen!

I've paused characters and did not lose any guilds, but never an advy...

Colonies / Re: Best kept secret in BM?
« on: October 26, 2011, 09:56:33 PM »
I suppose I am a touch bitter, the Colonies were once very fun and wide open, far and away my favorite isle.  Perhaps it is I, not the island that has changed.  I'm glad there are roleplays about in Lukon.  Were there any RPs or other interesting player interactions in that big battle Irdalni yesterday?

I think most are older players, like myself, with kids and little free time. Roleplaying takes time.

A roleplay doesn't need to be a long drawn out affair.  Even a simple "Argh!, Shiver me timbers!" would be worlds beyond anything I've seen from Lukon.

Development / Re: Feature Cut: Buying Regions

The dirty bankers ruin BM as well?  I have only seen a single region bought, the Steepglades by a player named "Sin".  He roleplayed it describing how he had gone about handing out bags of gold all over town until he was simply everyone's best friend.  He left the realm shortly after this when he did not win the election for the region.  I say yay for roleplays and interesting unintended consequences IMHO.

The Colonies kinda suck in general.  Lukon wouldn't be so bad if they would actually roleplay when they attacked.  They just come and go, silently slaughtering.  A few in OT will roleplay a bit, but not as many anymore.
