I joined the game with haste, only to see that it was already filled up with eager players who didn't get a chance last time.

So I left "^_^.

Best of luck to the lot.

I would rather play in the forum-based, as at work I'll hardly have the chance for a VoIP game, and it doesn't require everyone connected at the same time. Of course that it also has its drawbacks.

So basically if you get enough people for a Live game, then roll with it, if not we can make a play-by-post.

If we are trying a forums based DnD, I would want to join in to.

Yes, actually.  He only survives in the destroy choice.

Does he?.

I am a bit confused with the destroy choice ending too, because Shepard is a synthetic being (on the like of an Human _Android Hybrid) and the child also mention Shepard is a synthetic being.

So Shepard is sure to die after he chooses to clear out all synthetic life in the galaxy.

(finished the game yesterday, and am totally disappointed in it. The illusive man acting out of character_total_wierdness really felt like horrible writing or plot makeup)

Just started playing the game, ME3.

The initial stages of the game appears less stellar than Mass Effect 2 (Illusive man section) and Mass Effect 1 (Recruitment conversations/scene/setting by Anderson).

Just completed the first assignment on Mars and I feel working with Cerberus in ME2 (Illusive man) was a satisfactory experience than with the Alliance.

Yet to see what comes next, I hope its more interesting than what I played until now.

A kind of balancing I would know of is, randomness (rather pseudo randomness) for gaining experience casually.

As I see it, the test thread was just to give people the feel of interaction and understanding that they need to stop RPs to allow others to step in.

;) One of the reasons why I didn't actually continue RPing on the test thread(still waiting for the other person to resume, I don't like being hasty to overtake the interaction), but it would be nice if this isn't the case again.

Oh..

I was thinking on the lines that the minute specifications of 'Duration' were moderated by GM's during spell approvals and other players during Spontaneous casting (on fair play basis) that; any form of casting directly affecting other casters (such as harm type) spells will adhere towards lower value of magnitude if the spell description fits the game.

It would be a bit out of bounds for a Harm spell to last longer than 2 hours with Duration: 3, but at the same time control or change spell can last a bit longer for around twice that amount with the same duration magnitude.

---

May be the 'Duration' can be understood to move along with 'Effect' and 'Target'?:
.Higher 'Effect' will sway the spell towards higher value of Magnitude (like five to six times the hours with Duration: 3)
.Higher 'Target' will sway the spell towards lower value of Magnitude (Lowest around an hour or two with Duration: 3)
.overall "power level" can also have a effect?

I would like to take an example;

Summon - Dynamis' Primal Beast

The last line in the spell description mentions ->
Quote
....Attempts to influence the control of the summoner over the beast cause the offending caster great mental anguish and pain.

So, I would think that the above summon cannot be controlled.

Everyone.

You do not have to post how much exp you received from using your spells. We only did this because Tom wanted to see something to adjust things. He has already done it so if you do not want to, you do not have to add your exp info.

I do not know whats the final implementation, but I think it would be good to see atleast how much energy and concentrations the casters expend.

Yeah, I am taking notes of how 'Zakilevo' is punching out interactions.
So far I feel hes -> 8) with magic interactions and effects.

---

As for the lost threads posts which are part of RP...currently I am thinking on the lines that its an interaction taking place in a time bubble/duration further forward of the *then* time line against relative RP going around..

'Lucian', 'miriam ics' and 'Astalos' for all that matter might be a bit around, anyone can walk in to the current act if they would like to join in.

Reference for RP:
http://forum.battlemaster.org/index.php/topic,1254.msg30511.html#msg30511

I punched in the after a following posts, trying to connect to 'Valast's RP, (as I was unsure how to join in)..hoping for some interaction.

Anyways - Come on now, theres a barefoot character waiting in a weird clay mask down on the ground looking up towards the mow door.

It can't be an illusion if it's a Create/Fire spell. It will create fire.

People - we want spontaneous magic to actually be used. Especially with few shifts, it should still do close to what it should. Especially since shifts can not change the Base or Intent. A Create/Fire spontaneous magic will always create fire, it will never do something entirely different - though it can (through discharges) do something additional.

Got off on the wrong foot again, I actually wanted to mention 'Illusion' (Effect:1)..."Effect: cosmetic effect with no real consequences for the target" (Effect:1).

Anarki_Hunter.

Either you have to shift 2-1-1 to 1-1-2 or the fire won't last. It has duration of 1 which means it won't even last a second.

Yes of course, you are absolutely right.

I just didn't feel like breaking immersion, with numericals and hence rp'ed as 'Illusion' (Effect:1) and the spell would last a 'Minute' (Duration: 2). I shall make sure that I definitely mention the numbers next time, thanks for correcting me. (It will be informative if we mentioned how the spell shifted)

It was quickly decided that there was no other objective today than to find this man. However for Lucian decided to leave his room he wanted to finish his morning training. He walked to the table that was standing in the corner of the room. On the table was a small candle. He held his hand above the candle and tried to light it.

spontaneous magic (Create/Fire - 2-1-1) (1 shift)

A spark of fire flew between the palm lines of the hand, accompanied by the sound of a finger nail hitting metal. And then the erratic line of thin fire instantly expanded into an ominous ball of light about the size of Lucian's open palm.

Illusion of a fire burned brightly within the ball, but it cast no light or shadow outside it's boundaries. It lay floating in the air below the caster's hand and above the candle, the ball of light could be moved if the caster wished and it would last about a minute or so.
