Then again, this next month will decide what happens to OW. Selene has announced to the Republican Council that she'll step down in a week.

I cried a little inside. I had Veleno contest all the elections until now (except one where I was busy), then Selene steps down just as I go away for 2 weeks. Not happy Nathan is not happy :P

I have half a mind to vote on turning OW into a Monarchy, though, it would allow for drastic changes within our realm.

Hah! Good luck :P There are quite a few loyal republicans in Ohnar.

Yeah, Oldry bugs me.

He doesn't seem to bother me. I was at war with him a bit back, but I fobbed out since I realised I'd be on holiday and at war with him - not something I wanted. So I just said "look, you can't beat me, I can't beat you, so peace?" and he went for it.

Am I the only one to see that OW cannot absorb Arcachon? Count the nobles... if OW takes over all the regions of Arcachon, OW becomes Arcachon.

Veleno totally has no problem with that... Make her Duchess of Enlod, give it a few months, Arcachon II is born.

So yeah, I finally have reliable internet connection back. I've just been logging into DG via mobile to stop myself going inactive. The lovely warning on the DG main page is very correct, rather hard to do things easily (at least, on an iPhone it is). Luckily I was able to struggle through putting Mind Control on a handful of planets.

I probably won't be expanding much near my home planet any more, so if Kai/Tom/Largan want to grab a load of planets right up to my current ones, feel free. I want to start sending arcs out to remoter areas and set up there. So I've got patches of my empire scattered around the galaxy. I'll probably expand a lot more in the centre of the galaxy though, maybe only up to PD range from (1500,1500) though (in case De-Legro wanted to expand around me :P).

I'll add BardicNerd to the front page now too.

Oh, and I will never provide in-game advantages to paying players, not my style.

I love you.

Well that's going to cost you more than it gained you :)

It'll gain us a city and a few other regions in the long run. Considering you won't want Madina city in return, I think whatever Vallyn promised you is a decent trade :P

How big is the army in Fatmilak compared to the one in Candiels? 'Cause that's certainly not what the stat pages suggest.

Are you counting Fissoa's army too? We managed to wrangle their aid in the last fight, but I think all of their nobles got the message to turn around so they didn't come up on the battle reports.

Dense planets = no links? That's kinda dumb...

Nah, not really. Dense planets = more resources in a small area. So I have more resources than you, it's just harder for me to move them around as easily. Which should balance out in a war.

Just get the steed stone. It will increase the capacity by 100 and remove the weight penalty.

We really need spoiler tags ¬¬

Then again, if they moved out some troops to Candiels Fields at the same time you do, I doubt much would remain to loot anything after two defeats in a row.

But then the main army would have flattened Candiels. The reason we pulled back was because they didn't move to Candiels Fields. Either way was a loss for them, but this way they didn't lose their Capital.

My easy answer for that: only establish bases on planets with links. Then you get perfect resource transfer.

I dare you to find a linked planet near me :P We're all up where planets start to become rather dense, which means no links :(

Ahh, just had a load screen that told me increasing Stamina also increases Carrying Capacity. Would have been nice to have been told that at the start...

I guess next time around I'll put some level ups into CC and some into HP, ignoring Magicka and taking loads of potions with me.

I didn't like doing the math of efficient levelling :P

I didn't care about that in Oblivion, I just enjoyed the steady pace of the game.

Yesterday I found a cave tucked away in a corner of the map and thought "ooo, I'll go in here". 10 minutes later I came out having slain half a dozen witches, a handful of spiders and a few Skeevers, all of whom took at most 2 hits to kill, this happened several times yesterday in different places. To me, that's rather boring. I want to be challenged, but if I put it on Master difficulty I get slaughtered roaming around, with semi-easy battles in caves.

Instead, I'd much rather enemies levelled with me and the rate of levelling was based on my difficulty.

It seems like Skyrim really favours the Battlemage thing

Yeah, I'm slightly disappointed in that. I'm a little miffed that encumbrance is set (with a few things you can do to increase your limit) because that means you can't easily pile on potions and head off without any healing magic.

I've also found that whilst playing on Master difficulty can be fun, it starts to get frustrating with some random encounters. I finally toned it down after being killed by the same 2 bears ~10 times :P

What race has everyone been starting out as?

Breton, but only because it had the skills I wanted. I've noticed it probably doesn't make much difference with most skills as you can practice them often enough and race perks don't seem to be overly useful (I'm presuming here they're the same as Oblivion because I haven't checked every race out).

I'll definitely want to try a warrior character as well. Or maybe a sneaky archer-assassin. Maybe with strong alchemy and poison arrows.

My next character is going to be a ranger, who shall travel the world righting wrongs and thwarting evil. Mainly because this time I've taken the "bad" route to most things and not really got to use my bow much.

There are so many quests in this game! I am level 26 but I don't even know what the main storyline is!

Hah, same! I got to Whiterun, did the part of the main quest there and then went off gallivanting around the world :P
