I picked up Shogun 2 a few days ago and I've realised one thing: I suck... A lot...

My most shocking battle being 6 of my own units (3 yari ashigaru, 2 bow ashigaru and a general) against two enemy generals. I lost 2 units and suffered heavy loses on the others.

Online, my most shocking being a sea battle where I lost all 5 of my ships, my opponent lost none of his 5 ships.

Campaigns now consist of me auto-resolving most battles & bribing enemy forces so I don't have to fight the larger ones

Luckily I'm used to the "losing is fun" attitude, so I'll just continue to lose a few battles online and try to win something

My previous town was doing pretty well and looked like we could go for quite a while. Until someone forgot to close the gates and 90+ zombies got in

My current town seems to be doing quite well, but a few of the people who are taking charge seem a bit shouty, so it could end up with a big argument and everyone stops working together. We had a pretty good start though, found a hacksaw and got the factory on day 2, so we're producing a lot of resources really cheaply. Got a hero with a kitchen making +7 AP foods each day and we're only on day 3. I just really hope the hot-heads don't get in an argument and the town breaks down >.<

Yeah, sorry about that, a friend wanted to start one so I joined with him. Still not sure how they work yet as neither of us has died since the coalition was set up

The Lord of Fatmilak certainly isn't. In fact, he/I have offered to alleviate their food worries with food from the stores of Fatmilak. Just a shame it will bankrupt them in the process

You could disband your unit, then you wouldn't be attacking the region and could leave furtively.

Ahh, I completely forgot about that, cheers. Would have lost quite a few points of honour/prestige because of many injured men, but worth it to not be locked up for 7 days

If you have 6 hours, then you should be able to leave. You only get pulled back in if you have travel 0-2 or 0-3 hours.

The battles used up the hours so I only had 3/4 left both times I tried to leave.

If something like this isn't implemented with the new system, then I'd definitely want to push for it to be so.

I play one of my characters as a greedy trading Lord who ships out his food for the highest price and thinks of it as "his" food and therefore "his" profit. It's hard to keep that up when lots of gold goes out to knights each week from the trade income.

Helpline / Leaving a region

My character just got forced into battle twice when leaving a region. She gets 6 hours a day and it was going to take about 24 hours to leave the region. She just got put in prison for assaulting the region against overwhelming odds, so for next time I was wondering: what's the best way to leave a region with high travel times and a low amount of hours left?

The game looks pretty good and I keep meaning to pick it up, but one thing is slightly stopping me from doing so: this is a sequel. I've not yet played the original Witcher and I'm a little dubious about picking it up without knowing the storyline.

Is it actually necessary to know the story from Witcher 1?

I recently sent an SMA complaint to the Titans and it was answered in my favour. Now another person is doing exactly the same behaviour. I was wondering how to handle it: do I ask the person to kindly stop and hope they do it, if not, send another SMA complaint? Or do I mention it to them that the Titans have already ruled on a similar case and that their behaviour should not be on an SMA island? Or perhaps some other approach?

Wow! Bael is right holy!. What happened to Madina anyway? Are nobles leaving Madina?

Sort of, a lot of Madinan nobles were there just to found Aurvandil, so they left when it was founded. Plus nobles who changed allegiance because they were part of the seceded duchy. Then we've had a couple of people pause (including Tom's character! :O). So we're just generally down on nobles for a lot of reasons

Still nice and lively though! Unless you count the plague of undead, they're not that lively...
