Would certainly help out at this point in the game where there can be delays waiting for them to get filled and started.

Opening the game being like day 0, and the 24 hour countdown begins once first player signs up.

Continuing this thought, I'm thinking of having different, overlapping curves for the various monster types. This would allow players to calibrate a little bit better, it would make sense, and it would add some depth.

There should also a way to estimate what's going on, maybe a new forest action "read tracks".

Another action is not something that greatly appeals to me. Perhaps something linked to the manning of buildings - if both well & tower are manned then tracks are read? (only if those buildings are upgraded (if that gets added as an option)).

For better collaboration, allowing movement of resources to common houses for everyone/others to use would be a huge step. Then you can have some families focus on gathering whilst others farm and others build.

Though if collaboration becomes too much of a thing, then you stop getting individual winners of a game.

In one of the newer games, it appears that I may be the only player actually doing anything (with 1 hour to go on at least two of the turns it has said only 1 family (me) has completed their actions). So, the other families that should be player controlled will die off, but I don't really want to compete against AI. Is there going to be a way for games that get to a single player + just AI to end early? (which then gets the issue of games ending quickly reducing a player's average score quite a lot...)

When going into a village to select a house, add a button that allows you to get back out without needing to close the whole game.

This doesn't happen for me (you are talking about a game that's not yet started aren't you?). I get a pop up message that says about an email being sent, press dismiss and get taken back to the game selection screen.

I've seen several games where players discussed joining forces in putting up a fence all around the village.

I've seen it discussed, but not really out into practise, probably due to the issues I mentioned above.

Where have fences been thus far, per-family or village-wide cooperation?

In all the games I've been in, although there has been talk of cooperation, it was only where it was mutually beneficial (a plot that defended both families involved) so really it's all been done individually. I the option was there to transfer resources to other buildings then I could see cooperation happening more - half families gathering whilst the others build. At the moment, as you have to gather and build yourself, there's no benefit to working together.

Minor thing, for the game that completed (where we survived until spring) the diary page says all families perished by day 45, rather than that some survived.

Yay for being first survivors though! Me, you and an AI or two...

I am honestly surprised how long the really, really stupid AI survives. It's a good indicator that game balance is still off. But that's exactly what the open beta is for. :-)

Looks like we've got a couple that will make it to the spring in one game... One benefited from being inline with a player, so their hut was also more defended, the other just seems to have been very lucky!

I was enjoying the AI wood gathering when their families starved to death. Guessing AI shouldn't really survive as long as some have in a couple of games.

Check again on the common grounds issue. As long as there is no building on it, it should work now. With buildings, it should work as well if they are not common buildings (tower, well, etc.)

It allowed me to complete the turn with taking of common ground as actions this time, so would appear to be fixed.

If two people are trying to take the same plot, how about the chance for peasants to be killed? A home advantage if it's on land already owned by one of the families...
