Helpline / A bug with monster spawns?

On Beluaterra, in the region of Midbote, There has been a monster spawn just about every day, kicking off with a spawn of about 2k+. I don't recall seeing any scrolls being cast there. Can you please check that spawn monsters is not bugged or looping...

Title: Add Link "unit settings" to "paid all" confirmation page
Summary: When you click "pay all", it takes you to a screen where it tells you what you just paid, and there is a link to "continue paying". This also needs a link for "unit settings", as it is almost always the next link that is clicked on.

Details: Nine times out of ten, the reason a person manually goes to "pay all" is because they want to change unit settings (unless they are trying to save a gold piece by manipulating the rounding or are short on gold.) This seems like a logical link to have here. This could also feature on the screen after you have paid only your unit.

Benefits: This would save time every time you want to pay and change unit settings, with a minimal amount of coding (as far as I can see).

Possible Downsides or Exploits: None.

Dwilight / Any bets on realms capsizing?

Well, with masses of monsters running over the entirety of Dwilight, anyone want to give a guess on how many or which realms might be crashing this winter, barring further developments? Monsters during autumn will mean an unprecedented famine across Dwilight, which already had so much food to start with  ::)

Try not to give away too much IG info, or whatever it is  that we aren't allowed to do...

I've recently been doing some experimenting with excel regarding estate sizes, their efficiency and the resulting taxes, and I have come across some very interesting results (was doing it with a city of about 10k max population).

I was wondering how many other people have done the same?

Feature Requests / Informing a Lord when a new player takes estate.

Title: See above.

Summary: With new code that allows people to jump right in to an estate, it is very important that their lord sees that someone has joined. It would be nice to have a second, personal message sent to them.

Details: With the nice new code (thank you coders!) things are much smoother and more convenient for the new player. However, it is now very important that one person notices them, specifically their Lord. Everyone gets the notification about the new player, but the person whom they join does not get any special notification. It be be easier to notice if there was a second message about the person joining you. And if it was a personal message.

Benefits: Less chance of overlooking the new player. Quicker interaction.

Possible Downsides/Exploits: None.

Colonies:
A rebellion succeeded in Oritolon. Gellin Gellander, Duke/Margrave of Oritolon City was then ordered to resign his position. Instead, he switched the allegiance of his city to Lukon, who Oritolon has been at war with for some time.

That is so funny.  ;D How did he manage it though? Doesn't he have to be in Lukon to do that?

PS: Played like a boss.

If there is just one person sitting protesting a government member, day after day, but no one else protests, will it affect said government member?

Add total amount of food remaining to regional report.

Summary: A regional report tells me how much food I am losing, but doesn't tell me how much I have left. This small extra amount of information would be much more valuable than finding out how much I just lost.

Details: As a Lord or Knight of a region, I get a regional report:

It tells me a whole lot of useful things, but could say more:

Todays harvest could not cover the consumption. 21 bushels were taken from the granary.

Adding the text:

21 bushels were taken from the granary and xxx remain.

Would provide much more valuable data.

Benefits: Would provide a lot more useful information and eliminate the need for the Lord to keep checking if he has enough food.

Exploits: Could order a Knight to keep track of the food? Not much of an exploit though.

Has it been suggested in the past regarding a "Total War" kind of option or declaration - as in war until destruction rather than surrender? I wouldn't want to draft a feature request if it's been rejected before or if it's unworkable in the eyes of the devs.

One can declare hatred, when in war. The war will continue until one of the realms is destroyed.

I disagree with the punishment:

"Your complaint titled "Speaking about unkown facts" has been rejected. The reason for this rejection is: A player returning is neither a social contract nor IR violation.
There has been a complaint about you, and the Titans have decided that a punishment of Removal from Positions is appropriate. Here is the reason:
No character is under any circumstances allowed to dictate to a noble the type of unit they field. This particularly applies to members of a realm's government. This is made clear in the government rules and inalienable rights every character in such a position is linked when they first arrive in these positions. Furthermore, this is not a new rule, and ignorance of it is not an excuse."

I presume the Titan punishment is based on a different case, not this one, as Mayhem assumes?

Helpline / Sage Hide and Seek

Ok, so I find a sage in a region, and get him to improve one item, then he goes to another region. After about a day, during which I was investigating, I find out where he has gone and travel there.

I arrive, but have too much fatigue to do anything. So, half a day after he arrives, he leaves, before I can even do anything. Now I have to wait approx another day until he arrives somewhere else. And this is not the first time that It had happened.

Very much hide and seek. Do sages routinely run around so much? I'm guessing there might have been an adventurer who forced him to run away, although they aren't in the region right now...

Helpline / Travel times don't match

Is it intentional that the travel times on the travel page don't reflect the actual travel time? For example, I have several options on where I want to travel. I choose the 12 hour option. The page then tells me that I can expect to arrive in 13 hours. Does that include packing up, or something? Or is it just a bug?

Far East Island / Too many insipid unique items

It is rather sad: I have 6 unique items on my advy, but  half of them have rather insipid names, such as "Tempus' xxxx of xxxx", or " something of Edairn". My question is, what do other advies do with items that they can't sell? Just give them away or let them break?

When I go to my sent items on the forum, there are only messages from the beginning of last year :(

Have the sent items been removed? I can't seem to find them threaded within the inbox either...
