I disagree with the statement that this 'age' encourages people to have their old characters just sit in cities and do nothing.

I think that part of that frustration of old chars, is that you should get rid of them earlier to make room for new adventures.

But yeah, I dislike playing a new and young/inexperienced noble as well. Making a story for him again. But that's simply how it works.

May I remind y'all that Perdan and Vix offered peace to Eppy. A treaty where they would keep their original lands, but we get the passage rights we wanted?

May I remind y'all that Eppy denied this peace proposal (they may have their own sound reasons to do so, I'm not arguing about that)? THAT is the reason why we had to push further, because they simply wouldn't sign the damn proposal, until they were pushed back behind the river.

All this other nonsense about Vix wanting to annihilate Xavax or Fallangard,.. have fun making stuff up.  Vix is 10 men strong.

I think people are too much on this "fair war" thing.
Xavax has simply digged blood outta its nose. Being arrogant, threatening all over. If you dont want someone to attack you, you need diplomacy, on that part Xavax has failed miserably (on purpose i guess).

War is never fair. Sooner or later one will have upper hand, one way or a another. Thats purpose of the war, beat or fend off the enemy.

Exactly what Jaune said.

Yeah, you managed to suck up all of Alara's lands except their capital while Alara/Minas Nova/Perleone were warring you. That sounds like an even war alright..

Since now I'm on a different network, we're thinking it has to do with the Telenet provider.

Nah wrong.

We did war you for exactly those reasons, which Jeames was stating by heart. The fact that we wanted a war and that we don't want Xavax to absorb the whole south are obvious reasons as well. This does not mean I need to state them specifically. Because either way, you would have disagreed with them, which is normal.

The bottom line is that you have angered the nobles of a democracy. They get to hold referendums and one of them was to war xavax. As a ruler, you don't have much choice but to give in to their demands or step down from your position. And that last one wasn't something I was giving up, and surely not with the tone Selenia spoke to Jeames

Doubtless, but from where I'm sitting, Bush's official reasons for invading Afghanistan sounded better than VIx's reasons for warring Xavax   

Oh well, the nobles wanted to war you. What do you do as ruler of a democracy? 

It's on my 'Never do this again' list though, being ruler of a democracy.

Let's not worry about bangs and what not. Wimpie's right about relative size and power, it simply presents new and interesting strategic challenges for Xavax. He's also right about Fallangard. There is no argument that Selenia could make that would keep Edvaard out of it now. And the hardmode gamer in me even wants Caligus to declare war just so we know where everyone stands - Xavax against the world - if only to prove to Starfall that even in a desperate situation, Selenia would never authorize rape or genocide.

The way I see it, things just got interesting. I'm looking froward to it.

I must say, even thought my character Jeames thinks otherwise, I like how you play Selenia.

Just popping in to say religion may get a boost. It's sledom used in a good way and successfully (looking at SA and ESA and stuff).

People generally don't want to make time for religion, looking at BT for this. And most of the time it highly depends on the leader's creativity to keep things running or create a nice religious background (which I certainly lack the creativity for).

So apart from actual mechanic changes that were proposed here (like Vita's 'forcing' people to choose at least one religion when they start, something I would want to see in effect some day), it still depends on the characters really putting their time in it.

Just my 2 cents.

Indeed, only with BM site, bugtracker, Forum. All other websites work fine so it's not my connection in general.

I live in  Belgium, so if other people from this area have any trouble, let me know. At the moment, I can not reach fellow Belgian players.

Network and webhost thingies, I have 0 experience with this. Vita told me last night something about my connection with Cloudfare, perhaps (it's the hosting company)? Just not sure why I would be the only one affected by this.

Hi guys,

I'm going to post it here, to reach more folks. I've asked around on IRC and no one really seems to have any trouble with the performance of BM lately.

Since friday, BM is loading very slow for me, that includes this forum too by the way. Sometimes I even just get timeouts and can't even connect to BM. Same on mobile too.

Since nobody else seem to have the problem, I'm not sure what can be done about it. But playing BM like this is not possible, kind of frustrating.

Any ideas or suggestions are welcome.

On a sidenote, Vix isn't the power it has been before (and even then, limited). Many nobles left so we're with a few only.

Fallangard will most definately join in, so noble-wise I don't think it's a real gangbang though. Depending on what numbers you look at, exactly.

Hey there Selenia's not arrogant per se!...just confident, and never in the mood to swallow anyone's bs...like virtually everything that comes out of Alara and Minas Nova and that so-called casus Belli from Vix, ridiculous. 

I don't think real life enemies would agree with the other one warring them.
