If Melhed doesnt have 100k gold in their coffers, it is because the dukes and rulers have used the gold for their families and sent it to other chars. Such a realm doesnt really deserve to live, at least not on Beluaterra.
That is not true actually, many families have become quite wealthy through Melhed's wealth.  But it is not strictly the dukes and rulers, or even lords.  Most knights made a fair amount in Melhed, and have probably sent a good chunk to their families over time.
I had a duke in Melhed for a while, and probably sent less gold to my family from him than i did from other characters I had elsewhere (if you include the investments in Melhed).

I hope it stays one on one. It's really been an interesting war so far, I believe we are currently stronger but it isn't easy to push the advantage, especially considering refitting doesn't hurt Melhed as much as it does us. All in all, I'd love to see where this goes. :)
If you want it to remain one on one you need to actively work at keeping it one on one.  OG was in Lloringel, I know it was only one unit, but he was involved.
As far as I am concerned his presence makes this war not one on one already.  Keep telling yourselves that it is though...

And how is the doctrine coming?

Just to see what the stats are in the armies?

Helpline / Rogue movement

Is there any 'intelligence' in rogue movement?  Or is it entirely random?
It seems to me that monsters move to nicer regions (more population, more food).  Is this the case?

Hmmm, I like the current set up as a lord (well lord/banker anyways). I only wish I had known previously.
How is that relevant?
I would add being able to move someone or send invites, but I think those are unlikely.

I do not mean to sound impatient, I realize that this is all a lot of work, and as far as I know it is all volunteering.
When will the extra resources be implemented?  Or worked on?  Is there any non-coding help that is needed?  I feel like this was all  talked about a long time ago (with support from everyone) and now it is discussed as something that isn't on the radar.
Same thing goes for the estate features.

I did not say they were not used, I just had others I prefered over them.

Melhed will miss those RCs in Tepmona :)
I never much cared for them.  But then I have always been an elitist as far as RCs goes.

I am excited that my townland will now have a surplus.  I always thought it was weird that I didn't.

Feature Requests / Re: Feature Request: Royal chest and granary

Its not the same because 10 gold a week is pretty useless, but 50 gold when i actually need it can be of value. I don't see that as pedantic. Yes, it might come out to similar amounts, but the larger amount at once give actual usefulness unlike only giving 10-20.
Because you can't save the gold for when you will need it?

I would just be selective on who gets a portion.  The banker only needs some if he is able to buy for regions.  The general only needs any if he is seen as a battle front leader and so needs a larger unit than his estate can afford.  I can't actually think of any reason for the judge to get any, other than prestige for having the position.
So it all depends on how the realm functions.

Beluaterra / Re: Post invasion politics
« on: March 18, 2013, 02:04:55 PM »
The war would have started the minute the invasion was over if that was not hiding behind OG and Sint.
Also,  Thalmarkin came and saved Agyr?  Why is it that Agyr was even left open?  Melhed was in Unger saving thalmarkin.  During the last invasion, I hired three full SF units for two characters and they all died fighting to save Unger.  Thalmarkin did a lot to try to provoke a war, but it was never guaranteed that it would be a one on one war.  That amounts to taunting someone when your big friends with bats are standing beside you.

What I find most interesting is the differences in interpretations on how events unfolded.  The whole Fronen war was a huge debacle in Melhed.  But the interpretation of the events by others is in no way accurate to what occurred in Melhed or in any way  representative of the motives at the time.  Melhed wanted to stay out of the conflict, but every attempt to stay neutral was seen as aggressive and eventually I feel like we were bullied into attacking Fronen.  As I look back at it, the whole think felt like an elaborate attempt for Thalmarkin to have reason to attack Melhed.  I am still not certain it wasn't.  And yet, from the outside Melhed is seen as cowardly and dishonest.
Oh well.  Not playing in Melhed anymore.  Although I am interested in how this war turns out.

Wow, now I want a unique item again.  Too bad they are so frustrating to fix.
