1. Mathurin suggested it - oft forgotten fact, Mathurin suggested the Crusade before Phantaria even attacked Terran (or right around that time). Hireshmont would not have called for a Crusade except that Mathurin suggested it. Otherwise, Hireshmont just would have tried to call in alliances.

This might be a case of what the elders see vs the full members. I'm quite certain that Mathurin didn't come out as pro-crusade to full members until well after others were already discussing the matter, including hireshmont.

Why would they want melite influence scrubbed?  They're allies of DECADES/basically thalmarkins' entire existence! And before that, one of the founding influences of Thalmarkin were Ar Agyr, the realm that was based in Agyr prior to a long ago invasion and whose resurrection this war was about. Ar Agyr died in an invasion just after a war where most of the continent (Enweil, Riombara, and probably at least four other realms ranging across all ends of the continent) fought an Ar Agyr/Melhed alliance. They have a long history of close relations with Melhed.

I'd mention that some of those RCs might even be left over from Ar Agyr, but pretty sure Fronen (the first one that died prior to the second's founding) forced Melhed to destroy all their RCs and put a puppet king in charge, eventually allowing only weak (around 10/10/10) RCs to be frontline cannonfodder in one of their wars.

Javascript and Java are entirely different things.

They worked for me. I didn't check if they were javascript, but in retrospect it seemed like it. Does your browser have javascript disabled?

Melhed has a long history of unique surrenders, both surrendering themselves and bringing others to heel.

From what I understand (and Tim will correct me if I've misunderstood), the bug was fixed some time ago, but there hasn't been an update to BM since it was fixed.

My new character was already planning to join DU when he went on his pilgrimage and building another campus in luria when he returned. Stick it out a little longer, mention passing the torch to DU, and he might accept.

It was Sejieda Vita's idea, but Sammael Haines (Springdale's Duke) founded it. It was never intended to be a venue to vent. Unfortunately, both Haines and I had our families deleted from inactivity. Bowie was a vocal (like everything else he does) supporter of Dwilight University, so he was involved in seeing it spread. If it weren't for Bowie, it probably would've died. As itis, it barely survived.

Oh, and I had *thought* Pierre von Genf had a higher elder rank than Bowie as Dean of Students or some such, but maybe we never got around to actually promoting him. Pretty sure it was discussed though.

For what its worth, Kas' character was questioned if they mean 'jaundiced and had cataracts' to which Kas replied he was 'fine' and 'had a different set of eyes'. I have nothing against you, nor care about harming your game play (actually the contrary), so please quit insisting you know my mind better than I. I'll fully admit I should've approached you first, but from my perspective, I saw a line that was quite unfriendly to a segment of an international game and which you insisted on carrying after you were given an opportunity to provide an alternative explanation. If I were so immature and wanted to harm your game play with false accusations, I wouldn't have posted your defense when you sent it to me OOCly. The only matter I care about here is making it clear that its not okay to insult entire groups of players in a friendly game.

Luria's had around five open lordships for the last few weeks, as well. I'd bet Astrum/Morek probably share some need. Lordships everywhere!

I personally, and I'd venture that many others here, don't have problem with IC racism along the terms of 'lurians are traitorous scum', 'cagilans are arrogant imperialists', or 'vikings are no good, worthless allies'. In fact, one of my characters strongly professes the last of the three. The issue is with an existing non-IC, unnecessary racist stereotype in a game with international players who agreed to play in a friendly, non-insulting way.

Not to mention, I don't think Tom's ever been a fan of legalese and detailing every single possible instance of wrongdoing as if it were a codified book of law. Its simple principles to apply to situations (is this how to play amongst friends, with the basis being those friends are of an international player base and if its insulting to those players?), not something to nitpick and try to weasel around in.

I don't see the great roleplay that is gained by virtue of the comment, when lazy sufficed, compared to the racism towards a segment of the international playerbase. What has benefited ICly from these words to the impression the game leaves upon someone of east asian descent?
