Was any reason given?

spread the word that Alice cheated and had a mustachioed double fight for her after poisoning her opponent's morning wine and sacrificing babies to the Zuma for ethereal aid.

On it!

You could also RP the swift and seemingly sudden departure of Regent Himeko and the General (?) as part of some behind-the-scenes power shift that will change the way corsanctum does business...

Is someone still recording this grand RP?

The latter is a conscious choice. I will never assault Agyr directly. Just isn't going to happen. It might suffer, and eventually crumble to be sure, but I'm not going to piss away Thal's limited resources on some vainglorious assault on one of three Melite cities. ;-P

That being said, there is a party in lloringel. Wanna come?

Are we waiting for anyone else to arrive? Might as well begin the coronation/wedding before Selenia faints from corset-induced asphyxiation

The statistics page reveals otherwise. For most of the values that it tracks, Melhed rarely, if ever, outproduced Thalmarkin, this has been so since well before the outset of this war. One of the values I thought was interesting was that of military power, where the numbers actually run in Melhed's favor, until I realized that every city in Melhed sports at least 5-6000 CS of militia.

I would argue that this war is truly interesting only because of the passionate RP hatreds between the two nations (which I absolutely adore)  and that Melhed has consistently held out for so long since Thalmarkin has been unable or unwilling to steamroll their way to Agyr

This war is like a close arm-wrestling match. Thalmarkin is bigger, stronger, richer, and well fed, but they don't quite have the strength to force Melhed's arm to the table.

Melhed, on the other hand, is only just keeping up.

Thal has a huge military, as Kalixta has learned the hard way, and a strong culture. Melhed has an excellent military, fine regions, and a lot of hate for Thal. They have also, thus far, held to a higher standard of war, but Thal has a lot of land and a lot of hate and likely the biggest army in Bel. Both have infiltrators doing nasty things and some nobles have already been executed

You might find a particularly interesting game in joining one, then deciding with you would rather play with the other.

That being said, I'm biased, go Melhed!  ::)

D'hara is that annoying slightly younger kid who always smelt slightly like he had soiled himself and keeps trying to join in with the older children's games, but nobody wants to make him cry so they choose to ignore him instead of telling him to go away. :p

Stabbity is a lot like Helga from "Hey Arnold." She had a bad family life. Something about her sister. She takes it out on everyone. Nobody around her really understands her animosity toward Arnold. Helga is one of the bully characters who picks on Arnold the most because she likes him the best. The only way stabbity shows affection is by, well, stabbing everything nearby. I mean, How many IG years did Jonsu spend in D'Hara systematically pissing everyone off?

Then, as Jonsu and D'Hara grew up a bit and got into the dating age, Jonsu, knowing that picking on people wasn't getting her the proper attention or respect she wanted, decided to 180 and date one of those arrogant jock-types from the cross-town rival school in hopes of being chosen as the next prom queen. But her plan got twisted when instead of being jealous, D'Hara just breathed a sigh of relief accompanied with a bit of nervous laughter, wondering "Is it really over?"

It wasn't, of course. Jonsu hated the fact that D'Hara was dating other girls. Jonsu doesn't really date, she...accessorizes. So Jonsu got her new boyfriend accessory to get some of his athlete buddies together to come show those D'Haran's what for. But they were drunk and ended up going home without accomplishing very much. She tried going to church, but so far that hasn't helped her very much either.

Years passed, Jonsu and her Boyfriend got married. He got an athletic scholarship, but made an ass of himself so now most of his new teammates hate him, but can't get rid of him. Meanwhile, Jonsu went back to her boyfriends old highschool where she "works" as a substitute teacher. She now owns several cats.

Morek is like the one big quiet kid who lives in a lonely house on a hill just outside of town. Its on the east side, just close enough to hear the music and see the lights from the west side but a bit too far out of biking range. His parents are religious nuts that only show up to the pto meetings to complain, and his younger, louder siblings all have personality disorders.

Most of the kids from town think he's weird, others think he's too shy. But he's big, so no one messes with him.

A discussion about how realms collectively view other realms, their rulers, and their recent decisions/outbursts

Quote
Also, explained as to a five year old:
(Luria, Fissoa and D'Hara are playing together. Aurvandil is a spoiled kid who somehow always gets better gear from his parents)
(Luria): Hey Fissoa. I like you, but I don't like D'Hara. Want to be best friends? You can't be friends with D'Hara anymore, though.
(Fissoa): But I don't want you two to fight! Sure, I'll be best friends if you want to, but I want a say in what games we play, and if you go pick on D'Hara I won't help!
(Luria): I can understand. Sorry, but we can't be best friends anymore.

(Fissoa): Hey D'Hara, Luria asked me to be best friends! I'm sorry, but I Luria has cooler toys. I asked her not to pick on you, though!
(D'Hara): That's too bad, I wanted to be best friends too! But yes, Luria has way cooler toys than us. So I can understand .. I guess.

(Luria): Fissoa, I know I didn't want to be best friends after all, but could you please just stand and watch while I bully D'Hara?
(...)
(Luria): OMG! You talked to D'Hara behind my back? But I thought we were best friends! I'll never play with you again!
(...)
(Luria): So I've been sulking for a while now, and actually I'm really angry! You better believe it! I want to fight [TO THE DEATH!] - you hurt my feelings real bad!!1!
(Fissoa): Eh. Wut?
(D'Hara): Eh. Wut?

(Fissoa): So, D'Hara, Luria wants to fight me. I think she's just being silly, but we won't be able to play with her toys if I don't give her what she wants.
(D'Hara): I don't understand either. Maybe you shouldn't fight her.
(Fissoa): Meh, I better just take her on.

(Fissoa): Hey Luria. I'll fight if you want to. I would like to say goodbye to my parents though, and tell my friends I might not be coming back. And I need to tell my brothers and sisters who's getting my toys.
(Luria): Okay, we'll fight at my place. Just hurry, I want to go kick D'Haran ass.
(Fissoa): But I wanted to fight at my place! Doesn't the challenged get to pick? Well, okay ... I'm on my way.

(D'Hara and others): Hey Fissoa, we want to come say goodbye before you go fight Luria. Can we stop by?
(Fissoa): [Teary eyes] Sure! I'll wait at the corner.

(Aurvandil): Hahaa! I'll burn Fissoa's house down whilst he is away!

(Fissoa): Oh !@#$. Better call 911 and wait for D'Hara some more.
(Luria): Omg! You broke your promise! You said you'd teleport to my house! You're such a bad friend (sic)!

(Fissoa): ... What the !@#$ did I get into.

Feel free to reply in a similar format from Lurian/D'Haran point of view. Maybe we need a new thread, though
