Feature Requests / Re: Courtier history

Title: Courtier History

Summary: No access to the history of courtier actions

Details: After performing courtier work in a region, the courtier sees the action message with the results of their work ie, Loyalty increases by 5% ect.

As far as I can see, that is the once only opportunity for the courtier to see the results of their handywork, with no way of refering back to them at a later time (I have already forgotten the results of my work 3 hours ago). Some courtiers might find it useful to look back at the records for study.

Request: To save any courtier work as a report which allows a player to look back through the messages at a later time

Benefits: Allows a player to look back and compare results of work done in regions over a period of time.

Possible Downsides/Exploits: May increase the number of messages to filter through but meh...

A very simple request:

After performing courtier work in a region, the courtier sees the action message with the results of their work ie, Loyalty increases by 5% ect.

As far as I can see, that is the once only opportunity for the courtier to see the results of their handywork, with no way of refering back to them at a later time (I have already forgotten the results of my work 3 hours ago). Some courtiers might find it useful to look back at the records for study.

Just the results saved as a report, so it can be refered back to in the message history is all that is put forward as a request. Feel free to expand on it if you wish :)

Don't scouts already perform this task (though random)

As I understand it, having more scouts may increase your chances of finding a quicker route saving you a couple of hours travel.

I'm all for this, but maybe only with light effects on mechanics.
The automatic refusl to battle is possibly too hard a mechanic, but raising a regions morale when both the Lord and spouse are present in the region at the same time I believe is a more acceptable mechanic.

*Other acceptable mechanics may be available*

Wow! I was simply looking for old RP's posted by myself. I came across this. Not sure how I missed this one after all this time.
All I can say is thanks!

In memory of Usul...

Feature Requests / Unique items random names to include religions
« on: January 27, 2019, 12:49:12 AM »
As I understand, the unique item name generator chooses from a database; made up from: player names, realm names and other variables.

I request to include religion names within the database.
You might get something like:

The whispering codex of Sanguis Astroism
or
The shimmering blade of The Shadows

Pros: Having an item with a name related to a religion might engage and increase RP content.
Cons: None that I can see.

There are several other links on the wiki relating to the Bloodmoon. Here is another:

Helpline / Siege engines and archers

It seems to have always been regarded as worthless for archers to carry siege engines. Is it true they are completely worthless?

Is it possible that other troops ie. infantry, SF can make use of the archers siege engine if it makes it to the wall? If so, then I guess getting the archers to the wall should be considered?

Or is it a total waste of time for archers to carry siege engines period?

...the judge can take your unique items.

...but the judge must be present in his capital to do so.

I haven't investigated very deep with diferences between SF and other unit types, so cannot answer most of your questions.

What I think I have noticed though and use it a a general rule of thumb:
In the long term SF are more economical for your gold purse? More expensive to purchase, but less in weekly pay. Generally you could say that 30 ranged SF in CS is equivalent roughly to 50 archers in CS. If that it the case then SF is good for a knight who has a low weekly income (if you can put up the initial cost of hiring). Happy to be corrected on this if I am wrong.

I am interested to hear more on this thread though.

Dwilight / Re: the rise of the cult of Bloodmoon...

Sharn was given a small vial of Bloodmoon juice which she carries around with her upon a necklace to this very day. It was given to her by her Brother Logar before his disappearance years ago.

One night when Sharn was fighting monsters in a lair, she had her arm bitten off and left for dead. moments before her death, she consumed some bloodmoon which allowed her conciousness (soul/spirit) to take sanctuary within the folds. Her body was recovered and rushed to an old derelict temple in a woodland. During a bloodmoon ritual her body was revived and her conciousness allowed to return from the folds, at cost of her arm of course. Henceforth she is known as Sharn 'The One Armed'. The identty of her saviour was never revealed to the readers...

I deeply regret not saving the RP's of that incident.

Graeth started an orchard in Tamirak or one of the other regions around Unterstrom during the western diaspora.

Also roleplayed more after I executed that one infiltrator who was a part of Asylon and killed my own character, who was the high priest at the time I think. Had my character slit his throat and bleed out over a bunch of seeds. Not sure if that was ever picked up.

I do have some vague recollection of that storyline. Don't think anything followed on though.

@Vita - I cannot speak for other realms of course, but if I recall Asylon was always fairly rich with activity until after the exodus and being denied a settlement in the East. Asylon may have been the exception at that time.
