I thought that map was lost.

I miss that world, and wish we could bring it back somehow...

Especially now that Atamara is gone.  That was probably one of the better designed maps for the game, you know.  I would love to play on it again.

She killed the King of Kthonn.

She has served as banker of numerous realms over her lifetime.

She was elected ruler of Nothoi during the last Daimon Invasion to bring it to an end, and oversaw the recreation of a destroyed realm.

She is still a duchess of one of the richest cities and duchies on the continent.

She was hunted personally by Daimons who wanted her religion wiped out, and has hunted them back, hounding them with spell scrolls.

And she personally critically wounded the greater Daimon Jactosh using a magical spell that evaporated her hand, and then regenerated it, along with the rest of her body.

She has lived through four Daimon Invasions, now.

Trust me...she's not lead a very boring life.

Hey guys.  I know a lot of characters get killed over time.  Die in battle.  Or just leave for whatever reason.

Who do you think has the oldest character still in active circulation?

My Yao Ling started on 2006-08-17 for example, and the game says she's 115 years old.  Considering all the Daimon invasions she's lived through, I think she's starting to give Methuselah a run for his money.

One interesting bit about Beluaterra is that it just came out of a major Daimon invasion that depopulated vast tracks of the continent.  There are still lots and lots of unclaimed territory where the people have been starved, eaten, or otherwise killed via extreme prejudice...

2006-08-17    Yao Ling    Began her career in Tara.

Do you think that qualifies as old?

Also I would note that she leads the only religion I think has ever spread across an entire continent, from east to west and north to south.  Every region in Beluaterra.  (not counting the regions with 1 person living there due to oppressive starvation)

Also, if they've been looted much in the recent past, they'll be a bit quicker to anger than if they've had a long peaceful time of doing there thing...

I have not created a new character in...some time...due to me having characters that work right now. 

So...if I wanted to choose a region to be my home region, is that possible?

Basically, my home region was Foda back in the day.  But that's gone now, and I've not found an empty mansion in my travel since.

It says I stepped down and that's all.

No error message.

It doesn't lower my prestige and honor, though, and when I check I'm still the duchess of the Holy City.

Hey guys.

My character Yao Ling on Beluaterra has stepped down from her Duchy multiple times over the last week.  None of those times has had any effect.

The Daimons took the capital, the duchy has all but evaporated, and she simply wants to get back to playing the game like any other noble who can choose estates and other things.

She is trapped in a dead duchy.  I would like to fix that.
