Helpline / Nearly dying status - all messages readable?
« on: March 29, 2017, 02:11:28 AM »
I'm pretty sure that you shouldn't be able to read all your messages while you are nearly dying, but for the two or three days that it took my character to heal back to critically wounded I was able to read every single letter received IG. This happened a few days ago in East Island after being struck with an accident scroll. Sounds like a bug, isn't it?

Soooooooo... It's not that it's not great to be in Xavax after hearing of you guys for so long, but... How do I put this... Do you always have so many people using those damned accident scrolls around you? Because this is going to be the second week in less than three weeks that I'm going to be left out while waiting for recovery  ::)

You rock, Gildre. I had totally and utterly forgotten about this!

General Talk / Re: Academic year in LA
« on: March 17, 2017, 11:29:15 AM »
Oh, I'm not exactly worried, more intrigued and curious than anything else. Being from Spain's capital (Madrid) I think I've got the basics of big cities with over a million people pretty well learnt already. I'm speaking more of relevant local information, such as absolute must sees, should not go places, public transportation tips (as I most surely will have no car with me), nice stuff that usually doesn't make its way to tourist guides, spots relatively close by worth visiting at weekends... Those sort of things.

General Talk / Academic year in LA
« on: March 16, 2017, 08:53:57 PM »
I've never been to America, but next academic year I'm very likely to work as a language assistant in a LA college. Any useful advice / comment / whatever is absolutely welcome.

I was a heavy supporter of this back in the days, but I remember that we were told something along the lines of "it's not gonna happen, because it would make it even easier than it is today to run stuff between few players, rather than sharing it with many others. If you want this feature, just get all the people you regularly talk to in the same guild or secret society and you're gold".

Holding on the item for long enough without repairing it should do the trick. Condition gets to 0%, bye bye Jonsu's vest.

P.S: Wouldn't touch that thing with a laser pointer, let alone bare hands. Keep it in a leaden chest, Chenier!  ;)

Heya there, Licinius! My, my, look what you've done to Madina. So much negotiations and activity, almost seems we're suddenly living in a completely different realm  ;D

Joking aside, we're not doing particularly bad either. Not that I'm disliking the current engagement of a few in our realm, but, as you can see, not even a third of the realm has deigned to speak a word about the current situation. It's difficult to engage most of our BM fellows in anything other than marching behind an army, and even that is getting more and more difficult to achieve in a timely manner. Madina is definitely not the most silent realm where I am playing at the moment, it might even be the (usually) most active. You should look to JeVondairs, Mayhems and a few other prominent families if you're looking to get the engagement they usually create around them. It is not easily found elsewhere in BM.

And about rebellions, never, ever, EVER begin them by entering the underground. That's usually the last step, when your private letters have earned you the support of the key members of the realm and a fair bunch of regular characters. I won't be writing more about this, I've seen more than enough posts about it already.

All in all, it's always good to see initiative stirring up conflict. Always good for the game, yes it is! (from an OOC point of view, of course  8))

True indeed, we regard Xavax as pastime and a refugee from the dreariness of reality.
How do you you roll in Perdan?

They be evilz. Tried to kill my advy  :'(

Well, I don't play BM to be an overall good guy, pay my taxes and go every sunday to the chuch, all those are things that I can do perfectly in RL. Rape and genocide, however, are understandably and fortunately out of the question.

Though now that I think about it, most of my chars are overall good guys that pay their taxes and go every sunday to the church. Must be doing something wrong there  ::)

Ah, JeVondairs, Eastersands and deserts... We have to return sometime in the long term to D'Hara and remind them of the good, old times. Not now, of course, we're both too busy elsewhere to even consider that  ::)

I considered ordering their execution purification. The sheer evilness of the idea would have some pretty interesting RP effects I think. I've also thought about ordering them all brought to Selenia to be trained as her personal adventurers (giving all you crazy folks another reason to bring characters to start playing with us!).

Both are OK in my book, though I'd love to have Selenia going for the "purification". OOCly of course  ;D

Rania is en route, so if you here the Terminator themesong running, well, you should too...  8)

Rania... Which family branch does she belong to?

Ravyn has NOT had an easy time of it. But with no troops, she should be able to land and make it to Creasur.... I hope. Though I wish (since Ravyn is on a ship) that someone might message her about what happened in Ruefillo before she finds out another way..lol

I don't think she'll have problems, but I might send her a letter mentioning it.
