whether people ignore one or the other or whatever is all down to "rp"

the only difference between lords and lords representative is simply the way the votes of the lords are weighed. same electorate.

um.... that's the thing. this thread is about all taxes go in bonds instead of gold for an exiled character.

equally, a character could pop outside of the borders to get taxes in bonds

depends on how far back you go. once upon a time, all taxes came in bonds after all.

chenier did raise a point about trade being all done in bonds. so presumably it should also kill off access to markets (within realm anyway). do exiled people moving outside realm geographically go rogue? that's the thing i'm a bit confused about.

oddly enough.. royalty status is decided by popular vote (or whichever voting system is used). or at least gaining it.
(not saying losing should be decided by such a vote...)

So, we know exile is a bit nerfed/more painless nowadays with how taxes work. so... any suggestions?

personally i still prefer there to be an option for characters to decide whether taxes come in bonds or gold whilst within realm... so if there's such a flag, an exiled character could have it flagged to bonds automatically. thus restoring the effect of the bank bar.

So what if distance penalties are the same regardless of maximum range (doesn't feel right though), r4 (or r5) still get an extra round of shots without moving forward to expose themselves.
yes and no. it depends on your luck (or whatever) whether they walk or shoot. (or both!)

the no damage to you bit is nice, when you are shooting at idiots dug in or something, and doesn't move for rounds.

but the more serious point is... better stats is probably better off than 1 extra range...  i reckon r3 is good, r4 a bonus.. r5 could be a bit of a waste of time.. if all you do is minute damage.

heh... i have r2 sf from r0+r5

incidentally... r4 does not necessarily mean better than r3

because a r4 shooting at r3 does the same damage as a r3 shooting at r3. and r4 shooting at r4 will do less dmg than a r3 shooting at r3... usually.

in either case... shooting range is bugged and is atm (and for the last year and a bit) pretty much infinite anyway.
