That wasn't the case under the old system; not sure about the new. I was lord of Larodais and stepped down so the ruler could give the region away. Unfortunately, stepping down as lord automatically made me a knight of the region, which we didn't realise, and I went with the region when it was given away.

.... that shouldn't be the case. you became a knight because you have an estate. if you don't have an estate, then you'll not be a knight but some random noble not on the hierarchy.

if you gave away the region..... (where he is lord)... does he move with the region (and thus lose royal) or stay in realm, thus lose lordship?

as said before... bit iffy...

forgot the other thing...

kill the stats of the region as diplomat... so the peasants boot him due to low stats..

doesn't have to make them inactive enough to boot. just keep stabbing him to stop him holding court or raising stat or do anything.

this all assumes, of course, the whole realm wants him out.. or at least a sizeable portion, including the judge and obviously ruler..

and in all honesty... all in paper. never done it myself.

well, aside from the fact that you get paid in gold when in realm and thus nerfing it a ton. and killing your h/p.. but hey.

solution to lordship.... stab him. auto de fe him. give away the region (this bit sort of doesn't make sense)

solution to dukeship.... get everyone else to flip away from the duchy. disband the empty duchy.

look in surrounding regions and see how low their pop is. it's most likely migration.. but you don't always get the message for whatever reason.

now.. if they all have higher %pop (not #pop) than you.....

You report the general for breaking the activity IR by ordering late-turn moves, so he commands your lord to pull your hero character from the elite cavalry army, and has them assigned to the backwoods buro army.

quirky thing for that case.... is that it'll be the lord who breaks IR by reassigning you (well.. and the general for incitement i guess)

I think you might have to be in the region to get the message as my priest was in the region when it happened.

that's the thing.. he was in the region and didn't see a notice.. so i don't know... but i thought i've seen that notice before somewhere else (not his own region)... so beats me.

um.... see.. there's a bug where ANYONE landing in a region bounces a report to the lord+knight of the region.

thus making him think navy is active. (like.. wtf happened, i was told i was attacked, but all i see in the region is my realmmates.)

Then again, even if navy is active, that won't be the message as navy won't be attacking land anyway..

everyone in the region? lord and knight of the region?

i suspect my priest saw a paganism surge in a region that's not his, but he had been preaching there. (over preached maybe? XD) and it has a shrine. he didn't get the message, but all religions in the region lost a load of followers.
