Helpline / Password Recovery Not Working

This is for a friend who has recently signed up to the game and cannot remember his password. He has gone through the password recovery but reported that the account would not register the new password. He is at a loss for what to do and tempted to just quit rather than figure it out. I have prompted him not to and hence have created this topic to try to figure this out?

His family name is Eforp and he signed up in the last week.

Development / Could the wiki be updated please

I don't like finding out about new(ish) rules via OOC messages and told I will be punished for something that has zero warnings in the game or on the wiki. Quite unfair and frustrating.

So I traded my unique item to Edvard in Fallangard and then plan to accept it back from him for a much higher price in order to transfer gold to him.

^ This. Exactly why the waiting period was introduced.

It is NOT to be used to transfer gold to one another. Doing so, will get you a punishment of the GM's.

Magic crackled. Whether intentional or not, Krimml and Akesh Temple had become united by magic when the stones were laid within Akesh Temple. For years, Krimml had suffered near-constant windstorms since its portal stones had been laid down. Today though, all was still. Except the faint crackling of magic.

Three walked the streets of Akesh. A smith, a teacher, and a gambler approached Franklin. The smith, a man in red, greeted Franklin. With mournful disposition, he too knelt before Franklin. Head bowed, he retrieved a box and left it before the ancient hero. The three walked on.

Three walked the streets of Krimml. A smith, a teacher, and a gambler approached Rowan. The teacher, a man in blue, greeted Rowan. With much joviality, he knelt before Rowan. In quite a silly manner, he laid a manual upon the ground. A finger rested upon the manual. The three walked on.

Three walked the streets of Akesh. A smith, a teacher, and a gambler approached Jin. The gambler, a lady in green, greeted Jin. Revealing a scythe adorned with emeralds behind her robes, she knelt before Jin, laying the blade upon the ground. The three walked on.

Three walked the streets of Krimml. A smith, a teacher, and a gambler approached Thorgeir Mahtan. The smith, a man in red, greeted Thorgeir Mahtan. With a smirk, he knelt before Thorgeir Mahtan, laying a blade on the ground. Upon the blade rested a diary. The three walked on.

Three walked the streets of Akesh. A smith, a teacher, and a gambler approached Ricard. The teacher, a man in blue, greeted Ricard. With a coy smile, he knelt before Ricard, offering box and book. The three walked on.

As the sun was rising, the crackling grew louder, and in the dawning light, sparks shot out from the column of light striking the odd commoner dead. Attracted to fellow portal stones, the magic contained within the portal circles sought union with more portal stones.

Sitting on a small marketplace wall, Etain of Shadowdale and Sheena of Nivemus were comparing insects preserved within pieces of amber while they enjoyed a bottle of wine. In a moment, Etain found herself being knocked to the ground by some fool and, then, sudden blackness. Sheena meanwhile had fallen from the flailing legs of the other two, and unable to grab hold of anything secure while falling, landed awkwardly with a painful crunch and shriek. They both missed the electricity exploding upon their satchels of four portal stones each, which the stranger attempted to save Etain from. Unfortunately for Etain, she knocked her head on the street a bit too hard and had to be rushed to the healers. Unfortunately for Sheena, she had a bone sticking out of her leg at a rather unnatural angle. The hopeful good samaritan disappeared in shame.

Oro of Nivemus was trying to fix her broken sword when sudden nauseousness overtook her, followed by an intense white light, as magical energy sought out the fourteen portal stones she was carrying; so intense was the light that Oro found herself permanently blinded.

Elermos of Fallangard felt a burning sensation on his bum when his two portal stones were incinerated by the magic lightning, burning the seat off his pants.

What we know is that Sirion's Prime Minister Ivo's character has an adventurer who put 7 (I think) Portal Stones together in Akesh Temple. Nothing much happened but it foreshadowed all of this! Looking forward to what happens next and actually a little bummed my character wasn't one of the nobles approached by the three! Oh well, it's going to be fun!

Edit: I'm told by the player of Jin that he now owns the Adorned Scythe of Dwilight condition 36% prestige +9

This happened only 9 days ago. Is it me or is BattleMaster (and the forums) picking up more in activity and players?

Also why are there always sooooo many guests online? For instance there are 5 users online and 69 guests. Why so many guests?!?!?!

Never knew it was even in the works. Also all the other minor updates are very useful as well. Thanks a bunch for keeping this game thriving and still adding updates. Can't wait to see what else you guys (and girls?) have in store for us!

Some of you have got to have played this or come across it in the past. Killing that dragon over and over and over only to see some paypal-donater completely dominate you after a week.

Yeah, it got old fast but I always came back for a little more..

Not to mention the colorful chatrooms and rainbow names.

Helpline / Succession downtime period

I'm curious to know if there is a succession-option downtime in the old system (non-testing islands). For example: Duke A secedes to realm A then wants to secede again to realm B as soon as possible. Does the succession option for the Duke have the same 2 week downtime as when a new Duke is appointed/elected?

So for some players who are looking to join a realm at war, I thought it would be helpful to list the continents and on-going wars. I will not list who is winning and who is losing, which realm is stronger than the other, or how active is the war. This is all for those players to research themselves. I will need help with the following continents as I don't have an active character there: Atamara, Colonies, and East Continent.

However, the "North" (Fronen, Melhed, Old Grehk, Sint, Thalmarkin) is cut off from the "South" (Enweil, Imperskoe Viys'ko iz Fheuv'n, New Riombara, and Riombara). The Daimons claim to be focusing on the North, but still anything could happen in the South.

Helpline / Not a trader, confused on buying food.

On my character Callandor II in the Far East, I'm trying to buy food from my own city, Sasrhas. I am not a trader, but i do have 1 cart so far. How much can a cart hold? I am both Banker and Duke of the city, so I'm sure between all of them i could figure out how to pick up some food to move.

Or if there is some wiki-help i've missed, please direct me.

Can anyone report a bug for me? I tried to attend the tournament whilst Aglaecena was still wounded, she never arrived at the tournament, but she never returned either. She's trapped in a state of limbo where I just error reports of "Error: Can't find region data". I can see my gold, my unit, but I can't see where I am or use any of the features.

I wish! Except for Topenah revolting from Arcaea to Toupellon, little to nothing has happened on FEI. OW has turned into sheep herders of the badlands, feeding the dirty cities of our neighbors.  By night we duel each other in our duelist guild, a new creation of Duke Callandor II!

But really, little to do on FEI.

BM General Discussion / How do you name your unit?

It always takes me a good 5 minutes to search for a sweet unit name and I usually don't use the same name twice unless placing militia. I found this pretty cool site that loads a bunch of WoW guild names which I use a few different guilds pieced together. Great database for creative medieval names, though some of them are rather silly. We like those, too!

BM General Discussion / High Tax Rates

I've recently been testing the depth of my city's tax rate, but with Sasrhas being the capital it's very easy to raise the tax high up without any drawbacks. So far managed to get 21% tax rate and still at Core with near-perfect stats. Sasrhas gold production is 693, but with the high tax it's producing near-1000 gold per-tax. So I'm curious, what's the highest tax you've managed to hold without any drawbacks?
