We have one slot still open, and a group of adventurers waiting for a shop to do shopping in...
Slot still available? If so,  I would like to join with Penchant's Emporium of Battle and More.

Development / Re: We need more platforms for player interaction

Here is another idea:
Continent-wide announcements.
You have to be a Duke or higher to make one. It costs money to ensure every knight gets the message. Let's say 1 coin per noble currently on the continent, so 200-300 coins for most islands. And it is limited to one message per week.
This way realms could let the entire world know what's going on. High cost and high cooldown will ensure this is not used for banter but for important messages.
Care to share an example that realms would use it for. I also dont see it as something that fixes the issue of interaction.

Not any more, no.
The initial idea was still solid. :(
The purpose of your idea is solid. The problem truly does exist. I am not convinced that your idea is truly a solution. I would see alliance-wide groups used for orders being sent to the entire alliance and some other top people sending messages. Chit-chat I simply find unlikely in those channels because they arent common in large general purpose message groups IMO.

What I think is something more likely to cause more interaction is more events similar to tournaments that would be on a smaller scale. Tournaments I feel are often expected to be huge, time-consuming, and expensive so are underused. However when they are used chit chat happens, or for example D'hara is hosting a funeral and is having chit chat in the region with Lurians because there is a small event that is reason to chit chat and not having to be the official and purposeful reason that conversing with other realms, especially enemies, is usually reserved for.

Do gains have to be territorial?
I would say the perception is yes but you also get war experience, pride, and often attract more nobles, all very big gains.

I am very much a fan of regions that are lordless long term going rogue. Realms do not deserve the regions if they cant get someone to rule them. Morek is a perfect example that had a bunch of regions and only helps stagnate the continent when they have so much land they arent lording over and we are seeing they are surviving just fine without dominating over the entire north.

BM General Discussion / Re: Crazy Merger Idea
« on: May 16, 2015, 09:26:04 AM »
I will try and post more tomorrow, but I do not think the games are truly compatible. They both are part role playing, part military game but they just vary way too much and I am rather sure I would end up quitting BM if it happened because Might and Fealty is way too real time for me as well as several other issues already raised.

What I would like to do is steal MaF's design. It is very modern looking in stark contrast to BM and is something I would be interested in volunteering on BM to do.

Then you'd be the fools for honoring it ;)
Or warriors looking for a good fight instead of an easy victory.

South Island / Re: Mortality/Wounding working correctly?

Yeah cavaliers can't loot. I once traveled a week with a raiding party only to arrive and find myself twiddling my thumbs.

I *think* they can do police work though.
Huh, well I had no idea they could do police work, but my hero deals with rebels the proper way, he hangs them all. Its usually not that big of a deal in regards to morale since the regions already have extremely low morale most the time.

Helpline / Re: Any reason why Advies don't have an "escape" option?
« on: August 01, 2014, 08:29:05 AM »
I am pretty sure all classes get the escape button randomly except hero. Heroes get that button all the time.
I don't know, I have been in prison many times and never seen the escape button. (I have also never had infils or heros)

Well, sometimes surrenders are not accepted(I have no clue if this is case here). Example Darka. CE wanted it dead and no other options available.
Yes but last time I was on the island which wasn't too long ago, he was ruler of a realm on the other side of the war, which makes him quite qualified to state that surrenders can be accepted but with the victors terms.

seems to be by design - everything else except Write Letters is there. I know they have a higher chance at turn, but is it that high?
Is there a particular reason why you think Advies should have an escape button? With nobility, only infils if I recall correctly have an escape button. If I don't recall correctly, it would be something like heros have one too.

That's also a great point. With traditional intelligence, it's unthinkable to sail your army far away to land right next to the enemy capital unless you vastly overpower your enemy anyways. With spying, you know where to land without a loss and when to do so to prevent the enemy from being able to retaliate, offering the deadly possibility of landing safely and rushing to the enemy capital before they can react. You can often then even start a takeover of their capital...
I don't think that is what he talking about. Finding a region without militia to land in isn't that hard, but if your enemy shows up there with their army, you will be slaughtered on landing.

So the war is over?
Silly Lapallanch. The war is still in its infancy.

Shrines serve a different purpose than temples.

Temples convert the peasants in the region they're in. Shrines get the peasants in their region excited about their religion, so they'll go and convert peasants in other regions.
None of this in game and I am rather sure its not on the wiki help page either.

@T0mislav

Shrines are likely not a great idea beyond lvl  2 without a temple, albeit Anaris's news may change that some, but an obvious fix for this is just make a temple in the region. No I don't believe the dev team has to make everything easy for you and let you make a temple everywhere as a priest instead of needing lords. Tough, this is a social game, you will have to actually deal with people.
