BM General Discussion / Re: Where's the war at?
« on: March 01, 2012, 01:45:33 AM »
I imagine telling who's winning from stats alone would be difficult, and if we let the players say who's winning, we'll end up with 20-page threads of people from each side arguing. Nineteen of those pages would be from Chenier.
If we did this I would assume we have people designated for this job who can be trusted to not be biased or lie or anything and it would not be all players getting to choose, it would be a few chosen for the job who get to choose.

Even though some people protest saying whether or not one realm is winning I kinda think it should be said because some people like being on the side that is the "underdog"/losing side which will likely be experienced players who want to challenge themselves, while a newbie isn't going to want to be on the side that will die right away. I can see how it would be hard sometimes to say and definently hard to code perhaps there  could be just people who edit that instead of it being coded in, also it would be best to not just say winning/losing/tying but to what severity. To make sure that people can't depend on that to know perhaps have them decide what to put and it waits 7 days to input it in to the statisics though you have one being sent each day so that you know the war situtation from 7 days ago. I understand if you don't want to do it as it would be a complicated and possibly to much work.

Hmmm well I do have to admit I have only limited experience since I am somewhat new to the estate system but so far it seems like they have no effect on helping production and authority, and there are a few other things I would like to wait on before getting it ported to Stable. I am only one person so I could be the only who doesnt want it to be it on stable asap due to my lack of experiance causing me to not fully understand the new estate system.

Not only is it far away, the roads are so terrible it takes me several days to go from Sallowwild to Desert of Silhouettes and that is one of the shorter travel times when you are in the desert, though it is only regions bordering the desert I have seen travel times for.

Lol nice. Have all of you been rulers before or currently are?

I have read some of that wiki but I don't think I will read much more until we start playing so I can read things specific to my country. (I read the rules, the strategies 1-3 and 7. Saw the alliances page and got scared away by the huge amount of info the page.)
P.S.How long do you think the game will last with 3 day turns?

In my opinion the new estate system should not be put on stable until it is finished on testing.

Can someone post a set of rules/how to play? I never have played and would like to read the rules and know how to play before we start.
