Feature Requests / Re: Temple specific noble alignment
« on: July 15, 2013, 01:16:19 AM »
The CoH is already divided in ways such as this, but of course I would love mechanics that would enable more formal assignments.

There's the overall universal Church, headed by the Arch Cleric.
Then there's the continental Curacies, headed by the Grand Cleric Ecclesiast (excluding EC, which is a Curacy  technically headed by the Grand Cleric Vicarius)
Below the Grand Cleric Ecclesiast is the Grand Cleric Vicarius, basically serving as a roving senior cleric and deputy to the GCE.

Then each See (tend to be realm borders, but in theory are separate) are Grand Clerics, which serve as national leaders for those divisions.
Below them are the Prelacies, with each Prelacy (roughly corresponding to a Duchy) being led by a Revered Cleric.

An individual region is an Archparish, which can be led by a NPC Archdeacon or a PC Cleric.  They oversee the individual Parishes, which are led by NPC deacons (a parish is for each chapel, or shrine, in the region).

Perhaps more...  Elaborate than OOCly needed, I do like having an IC structure whenever I can.

Unfortunately, Simple Machines has never been very...  User-friendly when it comes to easily made control groups.  phpBB was always better in that regard. :/

Claims don't matter, the ability to act upon them does.
How very ignoble of you.  Claims of all sorts do, in fact, matter to the nobility.  It is why even distant cousins were sometimes hunted down.

Sirion has owned Oligarch before.
Yes, and Westmoor has owned Commonyr, Krimml, and Oberndorf before.  Funny enough, Sirion says we don't have claims.

Believed to be the oldest known type of wine.  So all the others are just inbred offshoots! :o

Yes...  Because I used one example from Game of Thrones?

Hate to break it to you, but I've been roleplaying since before the first book was published, both medieval/fantasy and sci-fi.

Honestly, I wish Tom did allow for more Might & Fealty-style pairings and lineages.  Add claims to it (with claims equating to a few more 'votes' in elections for positions) and we'd truly have some interesting changes in the game.  As well as people more willing to do what it takes to end rival lineages.

Rather than pansies believing there truly were "knights in shining armor".
I play priests and I know that's a bunch of bull. :p

I don't use the term "SMA".  That's a BM-created thing.  I'm a roleplayer.  Which means I expect people to at least attempt to reasonably roleplay.

In Westmoor, I always pictured us specializing in making Rose Wine.  No, not wine made of roses, but a pinkish wine.

We don't die, we just become Saints.

Seriously though, you aren't being very faithful to medieval style role-playing.  Sure, I am certain many frowned on harming children, but many of those same would still end a child to bring the fall of a potential dynasty.

Nothing against Maya per se.  Just the choice of who she sleeps with. =P

For what it's worth, Red would probably kick someone's ass for hurting a baby. Any baby, in general.
No game of thrones style smashing a baby against a wall?

Why not just do a Red Wedding-esque birthday party for him?
This.  Nothing against Maya, but the child's lineage is tainted.  It must die.

Me either, but I'll gladly see him burned for witchcraft for all of it.

Actually, both Perdan and Westmoor stated that Epeen should NOT be destroyed.  That was Autrey's desire far more than ours.
